I don't remember if I told everyone on this forum or not, but my my Mirage was totaled in an accident a few months ago. A guy pulled out in front of me and I had no choice. Luckily, he accepted full responsibility and the insurance company was reasonable in compensating me for the receipts I have. Somehow my FMIC and piping were not damaged at all! Woot!

I have since parted out most of the car so that I would have the funds for my newly purchased 4g which is currently being converted to AWD. Here's a link to some of the photos of the old Mirage. The images that start with 'IMG' in their name were taken by the previous owner before i bought it. The images that start with 'P000...' are ones I took. RIP.

I'll start a new thread once I have some good pics of the new Mirage and its progress.

Wow that sucks but at least you got some money for it and you can build another one. Now show us some pics of how you mounted a 1g dsm rear subframe under a 4g. I haven't seen that before, most just buy the super expensive evo parts for their awd swaps.

I'm definitely looking forward to this build. Good luck, man.

Well, when I bought the car it already had an AWD swap with a stock 4g63 in it. The welds are not the cleanest (I had planned on re-doing them until the accident happened), but it all fits together pretty nicely. I'll get some pics and post them before I have what is left of the car hauled off. The nice thing about it is that I was able to use 1g DSM AWD struts on all four corners with basically no modification!
