Here is a piece of it that i found on the side of the road. There were other parts that were out in the middle of a busy highway so i didn't bother. Poor cars who hit them tho!! I seen pieces of gears and syncros as well.




I was pulling at WOT up the highway, shifted into 4th gear and BANG!! followed by the sound of metal breaking into tons of pieces and shattering underneath my car. pieces flew everywhere all over the highway along with my gear oil being instantly dumped everywhere all over as well. Poor people driving behind me.


TOTAL TRANNY DESTRUCTION!! MUAHAHHA. I always wanted to throw gears right out of the tranny case. Well now i did! yay

I just wish it didn;t have to happen right before i went to the CSM meet this weekend. I really wanted to bring it down to seattle. I guess this is better then it blowing up in seattle tho.

P.S. This is my 1.5L tranny that i am still using on my 4g63t setup. I blow one every 5000 km's or so. I change my oil, i change my tranny. Just never actually had one explode like this on me.

yeah thats great that your excited about it. Thats atleast a tenth off your quarter mile. Nice weight reduction.

That kinda sucks but we all know how weak those transmissions are. Does this mean you might get a tranny meant for the 63t or atleast the 61t tranny?

Its actuaLLY the 5-speed from the 1.5L 4th gen colt coupe. meant for 92 Flywheel HP....now dealing with trying to handle 250 + Flywheel HP.

I have went through like 5 in the last 4 years. they go every 3000 KM's


Im putting in another for a temp fix and then swappin in a FWD 1G turbo tranny asap. It needs custom front crossmember and i have to swap to a hydrolic clutch. I have to custom mount a DSM predal cluster to the firewall as i cannot for the life of me find a 4th gen hydrolic pedal cluster.
