1994 Mazda Miata. Done with DSM's and yes galants and colts are DSM's too. I love this car, kinda slow right now but handles awesome. Power is going to be fixed with a 16G or greater turbo. Its basically stock besides a Rollbar and an Aftermarket headunit, with my Ipod FM transmitter. ThanksBut good luck with it Wheelbase 2265 mm (89.2 in) Length 3970 mm (156.3 in) Width 1675 mm (65.9 in) Height 1235 mm (48.6 in) How does that compare to a Colt hatch? Obiviously it is much lower, but length I dont think its much smaller. If I still had my colt hatch I'd take some side by side shots. |

My brother has one and so does my dad. Good little motors but they are lacking about 200whp just to start. The thing that pissed me off more than anything about them was the fact that the interiors easily fog up. |

300whp in this car should be good for an 11. You can't (well yes you can, anybody can say anything) say that they should have come doing 11's from the factory showroom floor. Almost nobody drag races these, but in fact they should be superior to a turbo colt in alot of ways.Weighs the same or less as a turbo colt. RWD IRS 50/50 Weight distro The motor isnt the greatest, but it will do 300whp without issue, the trans starts to go around 270, but the six speed lasts to around 350. I don't really care for the fact that it is a converitble, I'm sure I'll use that fact a few times to my benifit cruising around campus ![]() I found the interior to be much nicer the then turbo colt, and the stock seats pretty awesome. Sure your not going to be carrying home any big screen tv's but how often do you really do that anyways. There's a van in the driveway for a reason. Turbo Colt WILL be faster for the $$$ spent, I'll agree that in a straight line, but you'll be slowing down for corners and I'll pull 1.3+G on RA1's. I'll be happy with 250-275whp and a built suspension. That's enough to hang with some pretty fast cars on the track. |

I have a 92 Miata. It's stock and I love it. I rarely find myself wishing for more power simply because it is such a well rounded car. I have always felt that the car is as fast as it needs to be, and is most fun nearly stock. With a turbo I would probably go with a small ball bearing unit like a T25 if anything. If it's your only car however I can see why you might want more. I am lucky enough to get my straight-line thrills from another car while keeping the Miata stock, reliable, and fun to toss. Guys that live to modify their cars may never understand them, but the guys that live to drive their cars often get it. Especially if they have ever had the pleasure of driving a Miata hard. |

Sorry, I couldn't resist. ![]() Miatas are a lot of fun. One of my fellow DSM friends went Miata, we said he was just coming out of the closet, but then he slapped a Big 16G on it, some DSM 450cc injectors, an S'AFC, a Spearco FMIC, a 1g BOV, Megan Racing header (cracked within a couple months, of course), Fuel Pump Upgrade, and made his own 3" exhaust. At 12psi that car was quite a handful, the super close gearing made it a rev-happy little monster. It was probably making around 220whp. Too bad he had a little too much fun with it and ended up crashing it, a couple times. Haha. |

Don't be whining about these things being cramped, I can comfortably drive them at 7 feet, 260 pounds, with a 15 inch shoe. Now, the newer style Miata's, not a chance, the E-brake cuts off the circulation to my lower leg, and that's with it disengaged. |
