They're not installed yet. The car is off the road cause one of my braided oil cooler lines started leaking. It runs from the factory oil filter housing, past the dump pipe and up to the oil cooler. In the space of about 10min it leaked all my oil onto the road, oil pressure light came on and thank god I was right by a petrol station. Bought like 6L of oil and managed to make it home. The braid looked perfectly fine on the outside, but the rubber on the inside had melted or something :-? Trying to work out a way to prevent it from happening again....

Could just use the stock coolant lines? Or just use a forward facing housing. I have no oil cooler on my car.

Haven't updated this in a while...

Pulled a dash from a car at a junkyard, 100% mint and crack free, to replace the one in the car which has a massive split right down the middle of it.

Replaced the leaky oil cooler line and put heat proof sleeves over both lines. Hopefully won't have any more problems.

Have also picked up an FP race manifold and intake pipe, and a punishment racing o2 housing. Gonna pull my shit apart sometime soon, and will be replacing the TD05H turbine wheel in my turbo with a TD06SL2 turbine. Then reassemble, chuck my Kelford 264's and Link G4 standalone in, and off to the dyno!

But, what i'm really excited about, is that i'm finally getting something done about my rusty roof :D Got the car booked in for next Monday for a complete roof swap. I have a donor roof sitting here, off a white pre-facelift Mirage, 100% rust free. Managed to pick it up for $50, so i'm pretty happy! This is a problem i've put off over and over again, ever since I bought the car almost 5 years ago, so it feels good to finally do something about it :)

Sneak in the body shop take some pics of the roof replacement for us. I'm sure that will be a fun job. I wish someone made a decent overlay in Carbon Fiber but it would probably cost more than most of us paid for our cars. :P

For sure man. The guy doing it is pretty much the best in the game here in NZ. I'm forking out a decent wad of cash for the job, but it's worth the piece of mind knowing that it'll be done right and i'll never have to worry about it again. In fact he just finished painting my buddy Pat's Cyborg, came out pretty awesome I reckon

I'm pretty sure it's an alloy E39A (VR-4) radiator. From memory it was basically a bolt in affair. The color, not 100% sure but from memory he said it was R35 GTR gunmetal?

And since this post is useless without pics, here is the current state of my car. Never thought i'd see the day :o :D

You should be adding a Supertop to that thing!

Haha, trust me I would if I could! Supertops almost never show up in junkyards, and I managed to score the donor roof for $50, couldn't turn it down!

It's from a white pre facelift 1989 Mirage. Everything i've heard in the past says that Mitsubishi didn't switch to the shit roof glue until 1990. But when my panel guy removed the ribs, he found a few specks of rust just starting up. Managed to nip them in the bud, roof is rust treated now and should last longer than the rest of the car. But it just goes to show that none of the CSM's are safe from the roof rust bug... it's just a matter of time really.

Looking good! Will he be painting the entire car or just blending the roof?

And here it is! Few other little changes, the orange indicators up front (felt like a change), and 3pc mid wing on the back. And a few pics of my buddy Pat's Cyborg for good measure

I never cared much for the mid wing but somehow you pulled it off. Maybe its because the car is black, I don't know. I do think a colt grill would finish the car off nicely but I know you like the chrome mirage grill.
