Hey all, had to sell my Silver C53A non turbo Cyborg to get this, but its worth it!!

1991 Mirage Super R

SPECS:

Car: 1991 Mirage Super R
Frame/Chassis: E-CC4A-MNGM
Body type: Hatch
Drive: FULL 4WD
Transmission: 5 speed manual
Engine model: 4G92
Displacement: 1597cc DOHC (Not MIVEC)
Power: 145ps (106.65 kW) @ 7000 rpm
Torque: 15.2 kg/m (149.06 Nm) @ 5500 rpm
Curb vehicle weight: 1080kg

And Here it is! The black beast!!

Image

1991 Mirage Super R. Comes Standard with JDM Spec CD5A Lancer GSR Recaros, electrics, climate control etc etc. I KNOW its not a Cyborg, but these are rare as hell and I thought some of you might be interested :D

Picked up from an online auction for $1310NZD (approx $795USD), with panel Damage. Plan is to fix it up and eventually drop a 4G93T + Drivetrain (Factory W5M31 is weak) in so I can have a daily boost injection once more :D Panel Damage is about $1800 worth, so will be a few months before thats done! The 2000km old KYBs and Kings will come out of the GSR (Theyre just going to waste!!) and the 17" Advanti SA15s from the Silver Bullet will go on aswell :D

I know some of you will say "4G63T it fool!" But the 4G93T is an easier conversion and I have a mate with a 4G63'd RS 4WD Mirage who'll kill me if I do the same.

The GSR is still being made into a 450hp monster, its just I miss having daily boost so thought i'd build this to a similar spec the GSR was before it killed the bearing, except properly tuned and a couple of secrets internally ;) So GSR: On hold for 6 months while this beast gets the 'treatment' :D

Anyhoo, pics!

And a couple of pics of the interior, pretty much EXACTLY the same as a JDM Lancer GSR

Engine bay is nothing flash - just a grandma spec 1600 twincam 4G92. Will take pics of the conversion with the 4G93 Turbo engine and W5M33 Drivetrain.

Slowly collecting bits and pieces. Have a Cyborg rear hatch wing to go on and hopefully picking up a Cyborg bumper this weekend.

The car should look similar to this

But with the spotlights removed from the front bumper, bit of hacking of it to fit the intercooler along with some blacked out mesh to tidy it up. Car will be painted a nice gloss black and be sitting on the white 17"s that have been on my GSR and Cyborg :)

Beautiful car! Looks like North America lost out on another great car I didn't know about!
Not to steal thunder from this site (which I am loving more and more I come on here and learn about my '89), but try out the page at the bottom of my post. We have a few active members from NZ, and tons of info on 4g93 and such!

Haha Dont worry, I know the 4G93T inside out from working on my CD5A Lancer GSR. 184kWs at all 4 wheels and a 1/4 mile of 12.62 @ 107mph. Currently being built into something silly!!

Will check out your forum though..

Anyhoo, picked the bumper up yesterday. Looking a bit better. Gotta find a towhook cover though, damn things always fall off
