wsup everybody, my names Ersin. im brand new to the boards. I'm on my third dsm now, also had an s14 and a corrado g60 converted to turbo. just purchased my mirage 2 days from CT for under a grand. i currently drive a 90' talon, thats where im going to be using my engine, tranny, ecu and whatever else i need. im going to get some body work done and get the car primered up first then do the swap. the car came with some dents that need to be fixed, besides that the car is very clean inside and out and five speed. im probally going to get the 92-95 elantra mounts from napa, they said there all special order but they can get them. the only thing I'm not to sure about is the axles. i read that LILEVO used the 1.5 axles but others are saying you cant use them because there to short. i know i need the axles from the turbo model but they seem like there hard to find. has anyone on the boards got axles from DRIVE SHAFT SHOP? any info would be great guys, thanks. see you guys around... ![]() |

Hit up Ocean Avenue and take some pics of the house, haha. I bet the people that live there get SOOO pissed about stuff like that. The Colt will be a LOT of fun once you do the swap. I want one of these cars so bad it's not even funny. One day... |

Me? Well I don't have a CSM for one thing. Haha. I'm already balls deep into my DSM project, getting started an another project would be un-wise for me at this point in time.

oh ok i see. my 1g talons exterior is garbage so is the suspension. the engine and tranny are the only good things about the car so thats why i decided to put it in the mirage. after the swap i'll junk it. |

Yeah, my main motivation for a while was a buddy of mine down here has a '90 GS-T with a completely trainwrecked body. Used to be an east coast car, the paint was horribly maintained, there are a few dents, but the car itself only has 85,000 miles! The motor and trans are perfect on it, and I was trying to get him to sell it to me cheap as a donor car. He decided he wanted to keep it though, and I decided that I have nowhere to keep 2 extra cars, nowhere to perform the swap, and no extra money, haha.

Yeah I'm in the same boat, I still live with my folks. I've already had my first '94 TSi AWD sitting in pieces in the garage for WAY too long, so I don't think they'd be too jazzed about another car or two taking up space. Haha.
