machine shop took too much off my flywheel, so my clutch wouldn't disengage or grab. had to pull the trans back off and get another flywheel... but whadda ya gonna do? no sense in bitching. im just not going to resurface flywheels anymore after talking to some individuals more knowledgeable than myself.
the new-to-me flywheel is on. car shifts great. now i know why people told me not to put the welded diff in. my car weighs nothing and is still a BITCH.
welded diff > chicken arms.
stock tranny will be off and ready for sale as soon as the TRE trans comes in...
the shit is SCARY fast. i mean fruit and banana SCARY. like scare the shit out of my roomate that drives porsche gt2's at the track. im talking roll into third gear at part throttle and once you hit about 10psi both tires LIGHT THE fruit and banana UP. im still running under 20psi and im pretty untuned right now. i was running 24psi on a 2.0 w/ 11.7:1 afr, so i dropped the boost down and added 5% of fuel across the board on full throttle for the stroker. i figued it would be safe to drive until i got around to logging and fine tuning with the wideband. i see 15 psi right under 3.5k rpm's. i still have some boost leaks to fix too. and im venting (for now, until i get the return tube welded) so im shooting some KILLER flames. lol.
i've got some school to catch up on b/c i've been spending alot of time with my g/f lately. car is going to sit indefinately until this weekend. then hopefully i can get it dialed in and call out some boosted honduhs
$3/gal. f that. car will be up for sale as soon as it dyno's and puts down some decent numbers. im done.
