Thanks guys, I'll definately have to try the wreckers first before I buy from the dealer. |

Gosh darn right! This would make an excellent step by step visual for anyone that wants to attempt/succeed in this type of motor swap. |

Why rip all the dash harness and front chassis harness out? You only need to swap the engine harness. It gets slightly ugly around the chassis/engine mating point but it is nowhere as funky as what you have going on. -paul |

I figured I could clean it up by only having the necessary wires remaining, the ones that aren't needed to run the engine I will remove. It's more work now, but I think it will simplify the setup and make troubleshooting electrical problems easier. You only need to swap the engine harness. LOL, yeah I know that feeling![]() I've often wanted to reloom my engine harness. Being from a Galant VR4 I have probably half the wires not used. -paul |

Well I've just been reading around the site about other peoples cars and getting excited, but I haven't made very much progress the last couple days I just can't find motor mounts, I'm probably going to have to go 2 hours away to the nearest large city (Million plus) and go digging around the wreckers. I also need a clutch setup, I'll probably buy an OEM one since I'm not going for big power out of the engine. |

I recognise those motor mounts... My Air compressor started on fire the night I pulled them off my parts motor for you... Pretty funny watching blue flames shooting out the side of the compressor. |

Yes, thanks again for the mounts. Everyone is trying to convince me to put the built engine from my Talon in the Colt, but I think this one will do fine.
