hi my name is greer im 25,i live in Auckland,New Zealand (land of the long white cloud and home of the all blacks rugby team) my car...... 1988 mitsubishi lancer GSR (jap spec) c63a 4g61t fwd i picked this car up about 6months ago in standard form,274000 kms on the clock, cost me $1000 nz dollars so then the modding started............. 2 1/2in exhaust from turbo straight through (no resonators) to stainless steel muffler, td04l turbo off a 1994 mitsy lancer gsr cd5a 4g93t (jap spec) fitted with a screamer pipe, k&n air filter, ngk spark plugs (bp7es), top gun 8.8mm racing ht leads, fmic off a 98 lancer evo 5 cp9a (jap spec) with custom ic piping, custom 3in intake pipe to turbo, 89 galant vr-4 4g63t e39a (jap spec)-air flow meter-injectors-throttle body. suspension is factory kyb shocks,lowered 40mm with b&g springs,17in x 7in enkei tarmac evo wheels with 215/45/17 tyres,heavy duty front and rear brake pads the car was going very well with these mods but that was not enough for me,so then came......... td05h 14g turbo and exhaust manifold off a e39a vr-4, sard fuel pressure regulator,gizzmo eletronic launch controller, gizzmo chipped computer "md128618" off a e39a vr-4......i picked the car up from the workshop and was driving around when i decided to go on the motorway for a test....3rd foot flat was going the fastest it had been yet, i saw the boost go up to 20psi then boommmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!! it was all over blown motor,it died at 278???kms....... so now i have pulled the motor out (lucky i had a spare motor sitting in my garage at home which had been there for about 4years from a 1991 mitsy lancer gsr c73a it had about 110???kms).........so i have put that in now with a few more mods......trr extractors with tial 38mm external wastegate,new high flow fuel pump,i got a few things painted blue and some other parts polished........still not running yet gear box is km210,with standard clutch have not run this car on the 1/4m yet but wont be long now here are some pics engine http://photobucket.com/albums/a380/nfam ... dcp006.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a380/nfam ... dcp005.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a380/nfam ... dcp004.jpg thecar http://photobucket.com/albums/a380/nfam ... dcp002.jpg speedo http://photobucket.com/albums/a380/nfam ... 005018.jpg door mouldings http://photobucket.com/albums/a380/nfam ... 005017.jpg rims http://photobucket.com/albums/a380/nfam ... dcp009.jpg the car http://photobucket.com/albums/a380/nfam ... 05_006.jpg muffler http://photobucket.com/albums/a380/nfam ... dcp003.jpg ![]() ![]() ![]() |
