Well,
Those of you guys who know me, know that I work as a contractor for the Department of Defense.

After 2 years I finally recieved my new assigment, which will take me overseas to Bahrain, which is right outside Saudi Arabia. I'll be there
til the end of 2008. While I'm gone John, "89coltgt" will look after the car for me, making little changes in my absense.

89mirageman, I'll have Jon send you a set of Galant VR4 rotors so you can do a 4x100 re-drill. I'll definitley make it worth your while if you're game.

I'll be leaving the O Fallon, Il area at the end of the month, and making my way thru Maryland and New York to see family before I head overseas. :P

Bahrain has always been the armpit of the middle east for me. I was soo bored. And everything was expensive for no reason. Crappy Dairy Queen burgers are like 12 dollars for a meal....WEAK

our exchange rate sucks over there except for alcohol(personal use, not bars), but base only allows you to buy so much per month(quota system). Cabbies will rip you off if you don't know the going rate, as it is all barter system over there (like 1000% markup). 90% of all streets are unlabeled. military banns you from random areas that you've never heard of but the streets aren't labeled so you don't know what side of town your in. If the base floods there is a uncovered sewage plant near the edge and you have a stinky poo liquid puddles all around the base and your only limited to brushing your teeth with water bottles(happened to me last time i went). Don't buy gold or diamonds unless you know what your doing. and only buy bottled beverages.

base boring base, has a boring bar called the desert dome

Freedom souq= boring after 1 hour.

Sorry for the thread jack/rant

Finished off the rear hub conversion last night........

Wish I hadve taken pics of the brake bleed job I did.

The brake fluid was never changed! It looked like diarreha [sp] !!

Anyhow, we have fresh fluid in there now, and I installed some wagon wheels out back to keep her safe while in storage.....

Geoff, you used the 89 mirage turbo hubs? Chris was telling me you had to modify them slightly? Details? What other stuff did you use for lines etc?

I started with the 89 CSM turbo hubs, but scrapped that idea cause there was too much slop. I tried to use some shims to take up the slop, but to no avail....

I ended up using 92 Mirage 1.5 hubs that worked perfectly!! I paid 69.99
each for them brand new at Advance Auto Parts
