Hello everyone, been on here for a while but without a proper introduction.

So here it is.

My name is Will im 19 and i live in Cambridgeshire UK and i own a 1.5 12v Carb C5. Had the Colt nearly a year now. Done alot to it, adding red bits all over but recently have had a big change. i have added all round Gti Bumpers and side skirts. I did buy a 1.6 Gti 4g61 engine from a member on coluk.org for my colt but only found out when we took the gearbox out that the 4g61 was hydrolic gearbox and my current one is cable. So abit gutted really.

Well here is a few pics of what the car used to look like;

and here are a few pics of the Gti front bumper which i have been fixing with fibre glass and adding Mesh and Corner splitters;

I shall be taking more pictures soon once the front bumper is on and i'v given the car a good wash! :lol:

Anyways, speak soon guys.

Will

I love the rally-ness of it but all that red would drive me insane.

well those pics are about a 2 months old now. The car is having a make over, and when its done i shall be posting up new pics.

Most of the red has gone now, but still stays on the inside.

i made the transformers stickers at work. But you can buy them on ebay.

dont use a 4-speed on 4g61t? wot do you mean?

Cheers

Will

The cable-clutch 4 speed is not reliable with so much power, as when mated to the 4g61t.

Oh i see, yeh found that out the hard way. Mines a 5 speed though. Was really annoyed about the engine. Really wanted abit more poke in it, but never mind. I will live with it for now and maybe in a few more years i shall buy a 1.8 16v Gti C5 Colt! woo.

Bumper should be going on the car soon!

Will
