Hey Guys, whats up? I'm from CT, about 10 minutes from Springfield Ma.

I'm currently working on a 4g63T motor swap into a 89 Colt E. Me and my friend dave are hoping to get it running into for the Grassroots Motorsports Challenge in Apr.

And boy is it a challenge. The two of us never thought it would be so hard to find a drivetrain. We have hovered around the local pick and pulls, but haven't had any luck on scoring a very cheap drivetrain.

So I"m kinda of getting worried I won't find a drivetrain in time.

later

Hope it goes well! I'd love to see that beast in the challenge.

If worst comes to worst, you could start checking out Hyundais... Tim (Berserko) has been saying the 2.4 SOHC 4G64 Elantra motor is a COMPLETE bolt in and even uses the same wiring harness. It's not a '63T but it would come cheap and there are lots of them around.

4g64 is an easy drop in for the Colt 1.5Ls?? have you(Beserko) done a write up on it? If not what parts does it take?
