Hey there folks, looking for a 4g15 or possibly an NA 4g63 to swap into an 89 Colt. The car is in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Also please let me know if you or someone you know (or a shop?) can help with the swap because I'm currently stationed in Utah and the car is back home with my family.

If your dead set on doing a non turbo motor swap, then don't mess around with low displacement 1.5 or 2.0, get a 2.4 6 bolt block from an early expo summit vista wagon or [G4CS early 90s Hyundai sonata has the 2.4 6 bolt] and put the dohc 1g or 2g 4G63 head on it...or if turbo is an option just get the 4G63T since you live in VA the smog laws should be more lax, I live in Nazifornia so I have to get everything from a CA smog equipped car [for the swap to be legit] or add all the stuff thats missing on a federal 4g63 motor, you're all lucky bastards  anyone that lives outside CA with the exception of maybe NY [but even then still more lax then CA] of course I have heard their are still inspections for rust in your states etc but I doubt they are looking for motor swaps or a well maintained emissions system etc.

of course on the plus side many CA cars that are driven are said to be better maintained, because of the biannual smog.
