Hi looking for the valve cover with the 1600 emblem, not the 2000 nor the one that has 16 valve on it.
Please state condition.
Thanks

No one has one of these around in a corner somewhere, with all the swaps to the 2.0 there must be around

I don't believe they say 1600 on them. They will be Mitsubishi without the Diamond-Star top left, and just DOHC 16 valve lower left.

I don't doubt that Mitsu didn't make one but like Thom mentioned we didn't get it here in the US. Not that I know of anyway.

My stock 1989 4g61t engine complete with original cover, and then the red JDM GVR4 cover painted wrinkle black.

C'mon guys, you know better than that, right? They did come on US cars, but are EXTREMELY rare. They only came on 92 mirage gs sedans. I have one layin around on my garage in good shape aside from a cracked off hole for the spark plug cover. I wanted to keep it cause of the novelty since I don't foresee anyone finding another one anytime soon. They are probably the most rare item to come across the forum. I actually haven't ever seen one for sale. Only time I saw another was when a member picked up a mint sedan in Vegas off ebay like 5 years ago.

Thanks cheaptalon I knew it existed but never thought they would be rare, actually to me they would have been a dime a dozen and to me one of the first things guys change to make it look like 2.0.

Since I am really not that familiar with all the variations of the mitsu motors, ithought they came on all 1.6 engines.

Searched all over the net and google, but nothing came up because this topic isn't a hot button for conversation.

Great post cheaptalon, it's been years since this topic had likely been covered.

How much would one of these be worth?
