Is it the same as the 1.5 or 2.0?

There are three left in the whole world per my Mitsu parts guy.

He can get it for $110.

I would be willing to split the cost with someone if they want a brand new one and then ship me yours. I will be putting a poly mount in it so I would rather chop up a used one than a brand new one.

I know they are different part #'s but what is actually different between the two? When I swapped my old 89 colt I used the turbo csm tranny mount on the na csm mount that bolts to the frame rail and it lined up 100%.

Interesting. I don't know, I would have to see a picture.

I'm hoping the actual round rubber portion of the mount is in a different position than the 1.5L mount because the round portion is hitting the AWD trans.

How I got to this point:

1) Installed the JDM crossmember with no mounts attached
2) Installed timing belt mount
3) Stuck a 1/2 inch extension through the crank bolt inspection hole into the crank bolt. (I'm ASSUMING that the crank bolt should line up with this hole as it did with the 1.5L engine.

With that done, the engine is essentially horizontally left to right OEM and also centered on the front to back rotation as verified with how the AWD transmission aligns with the JDM crossmember.

Which brings me to my problem. The 1.5L trans mount will not bolt up because it hits the AWD case. If the actual roll part would be welded 1/2" towards the back of the car on the plate it would work.

Wouldn't the 1.6l mount be the same way? This is more an issue with the transmission and not the mount. I don't know very much about the AWD stuff but what mounts do people usually use?

I looked up the JDM part number for the C73A, 4wd car, and it is different from the 1.6L mount. MB581030

Anyone else with the AWD conversion - what transmission mount are you using and did everything line up perfectly?

In the past, I basically bolted up the transmission mount and then everything else just worked. But then the crank bolt and crank inspection hole was off by a scary amount.

Does your setup look similar to this?

From a previous member build:

Is that transmission mount non oem? I know the front and back are fabbed but the transmission looks stock.

It looks like a 1G AWD metal mount. Don't know what rubber mount that is

90-94 Engine Mount Insert Kit (Left Upper) 13-503
90-94 Engine Mount Insert Kit (Rear) 13-506

(Eclipse, Talon FWD & AWD Turbo & Non-Turbo)
95-99 Trans Mount Insert Kit (Right Upper) 13-501
95-99 Engine Mount Insert Kit (Front) 13-502

Yes the prothane will fit in any of them, but they are all different as far as height and position. The same way the 1.5L AT mount is much different than the 1.5L MT mount.

There's no way that mount can be correct - the transmission would sit way too low and the axle boot on the passenger side would be touching the control arm.

I'd be interested to see pictures of the finished product.
