Why do you want adjustable shift cables? I believe they only came in the 90s galant vr4s but not sure. I have a set of 4g shift cables I was going to try in my 3g but didnt need to. I dont see any real difference why 4g cables wouldnt work in a 3g. Thats why I gotem as a spare :) I saw some numbers on the 4g cables but nothing that looked like a part number and they were all smudged.

1989 Plymouth Colt turbo cables are adjustable, likely all 1989 Turbo cables were, when mated to the KM210.

Alright good to know. Can u explain the point of adjustable cables? I get they adjust but isnt everything already the right length to actuate the trans.

Maybe not everything was as Mitsu intended, and or for the higher level cars that were to suffer more abuse, they made them adjustable. Just a hypothesis, we could speculate all day, but it stands to reason that many manufacturers have adjustable cables, but only in some of their vehicles.

Is the a part number. Seems a few years ago I ordered a new set from napa or car quest can't remember. Problem I'm having rite now is with the non-adjustable cable the car will go into every gear when the car is off, but once I start it and try to put it in gear it will only go into reverse. I have a friend who's a trans guru and he's saying I need adjustable cables. Also what's the length of the factory cables? 4ft 6inch ish?

If it's going into all gears when the car is off then it's in your hydraulics.

Slave, master and or flex line.

One or more of the above.

Have someone jump inside the car and operate the clutch pedal.

You should check to see if full movement of the clutch fork is occurring or not.

I believe they came in all 89 manual transmission cars, as my 89 sedan with a 1.5L had them.
