Hard decision to make, but had to be done in a total fashion or it wouldn't happen as they say.

Not parting anything currently, that does include all the spare parts sitting in the hoard.

The ECU's are all socketed Eprom 90's and all but one, have CSM style cases(?), no spare ECMLink setups.

LinkV3 is currently operating in the car, running a 2G MAF.

Is this the beginning of the end? :(

I should hope not. There is a rather large collective, still very active with these cars and this particular car just happens to come with all the spare parts you could need for the foreseeable future.

The car will be testing the two new PTUs shortly and should be back up and running properly.

I have worked out all of the bugs, got cruise control working for this season and have a cruise motor/cable assembly that was taken off in favour of a newer appearing one from a low miles parts car that was turned into a convertible by a local USA fire department. It also came with spare cruise wiring, two cruise control ecu’s, a spare turbo/cruise stall assembly (have a spare non cruise stalk (no intermittent function iirc also in the hoard).

I also just remembered that the box of supplies awaiting payment and shipping from AUS, contains a secret compartment style glove box insert, which no one over here has except whomever purchased the white JDM Lancer that was for sale in Virginia through an import company. I believe it should fit our glove boxes.

Another point of note, is that I have no radio or speakers currently in the car. The rear speaker pods are sitting in the stash, speakers still kicking around somewhere. Front speakers may be on the shelf, not sure. Radio, I have a spare Pioneer from like 2003? That will go with it but cd’s skip, and I would have to figure out at a glance if it has any sort of rca input to work with a low level input device. Radio would work, but I removed it because it had hum, likely from the alternator, could have used a wire choke. Front door cards are not original, as the originals had competition grade sized holes to fit big JBL speakers that were top of the line in their day. I got the car with 3 of 4 speakers and no subs, but Amos shown in the build pics in the site backup folders i recently uploaded. Those amp and all wiring has been removed. The speakers were all toast. I was planning on putting a three way with a recent third matching amp I came across, but even my daily three way active setup isn’t done yet (fabricating front pods for tweeters and mids). I have too much on the go, no energy to push this platform any further. This is the best handling Colt in Canada. I say this knowing there may be others other there but they haven’t made themselves known to me and the site. KSports are good, not high end like a Bilstein on Cadillacs, German cars etc. It was leaps and bounds ahead of the factory KYBs and drop springs.

Oh yes, the point of another point was that I have a cubby single DIN unit with a flip door and a cubby single DIN unit with no door but that I believe may accept a pull out cup holder.
Original arm rest (tall version with extra storage but flimsy lid), removed in favour of the short style. Doesn’t get in the way of your right arm shifting through the even gears.

Used PTU installed (one sitting in reserve too), along with four NGK BPR7ES plugs gapped to 0.028”.

50kms of low and high speed driving and engine is running exactly as it should.

Car is still up for sale.

I have been in contact with a few people over long distance communication, but no cash in hand or guarantee of purchase.

Figured I should update in case any interested parties were on this side of the Canadian border.

Really need the space in the garage and basement, so I may have to part with some of the extra parts that are otherwise pieces that don't normally break and can be binned.

The last spare one for sale in Ontario got scrapped with the car it was sitting inside. A real shame.
I’ll sell you my bumper but it comes with the rest of the package deal!
