Yes, they were. All in Normal Illinois. They just called the GSX the GSR-4 in Japan and Europe. As a matter of fact, they only exported to 1 RHD country, Japan. All the European model were exported to LHD countries. AND, all 2G's came with a 4g63. The NA models had an NA 4g63 (like the 1g). No way Mitsu/Chrysler wanted to unleash the crappy 420a on other countries, those were our special treat.

regardless of where they were built they were sold new to overseas market.. so they are "imported" cars by definition. and never "exported". its still a JDM vehicle.

if the car was sold here, then exported, then re-imported then you would be correct. its simply not the case. it would have an american 17 digit vin if that was the case. pretty cool this car was the 87th one made for the japanese market. I wonder how many there actually were sold over there? they still have the cool benefits of being a JDM vehicle. low mileage, unmodded , unbutchered being of particular interest. I like the amber rear corners as well.

That's a very rare vehicle to find overseas...

Hey, I like the amber turn signals too!
