Im testing some boards and I have one up for grabs if someone wants to take and test one. They use a atmega 8 and a TI TPIC8101. I made these boards because I could only do three at a time. They are 2x3 inches and fit in a Megasquirt case. I have been testing one for 6 months now. Can run off 5 volts ,Or populate the 5 volt regulator and run 12v to it. I use a RGB led to show me on the dash to show how much knock.Green is low=>blue green=> blue=>kinda orange=>red is knock .Seperate 0-5v digital out. I use a USB converter like the one from ebay to use a serial terminal to change the frequency,gain, and integration time. I have some of those togo with the boards I have . As of right know I have one board in my car and one board built .The other not built. Just waiting for another knock chip. This one is tested and loaded I have another set on the way. These are tunable/universal.
I you like this "thingy" I made then when the new ones show up I'll trade you.They are half the size and have a headphone out jumper and volume control.So you can verify the knock. Email insaneimport@verizon.net
