Spends Too Much Time Under The Hood

I have this posted on the DSMLink forums but figured I'd post it here too just in case someone may be interested. I'd hate to see this go to the scrap yard.

VIN: 4E3CT64UXNE009277
Mileage: 104,023

I’ve decide to part ways with my Talon at this time. I’ve pulled the engine and trans to be used in one of my Colts along with some of the other parts. I purchased the car from a friend of mine a couple years ago when he was getting out of DSMs. My friend had purchased this as shell from a guy in West Virginia. The shell itself is pretty clean inside and out, black exterior and tan pleather interior. The chassis has low mileage at 104,023 but was hit in the front left at some time in the past. The fender covers up the damage, but you can see where the fender does not cleanly line up with the frame under the hood compared to the right side. That said, I never noticed any issues with it tracking funny and never had issues getting it aligned. As a result, it has a Reconstructed title. It has a 4 bolt rear end and I replaced the rear diff fluid about 1k miles ago with Redline Heavyweight Shockproof gear oil. The interior is pretty clean for the age. The rear seats look to be barely sat in over the years. I usually keep them folded down. It is a full interior with all panels, including the rear trunk cover and spare tire area wood pieces. It does not have spare tire or the jack.

I was running an ETS Race FMIC with short route piping so the front has been clearanced to fit the piping in short route fashion through the core support area. I was also running DSMLink and an AEM WBO2. I have NLTS wired in as well as the AEM. I labeled the wiring under the dash to make the transition for the next owner simple. Nothing worse than wire chasing and trying to figure out someone else’s wiring. I was also running a Saturn alternator with the Jay Racing relocation kit. I also labeled the wiring done to the engine harness in the engine bay for the Saturn alt plug. You’ll also find a 1 AWG power wire connected to the positive battery terminal that runs along the lower firewall to where the alternator used to reside.

So based on the fact that this has a reconstructed title but is a pretty clean shell otherwise, I’d like to get $1000/obo. You could part out the wheels and coilovers for close to that alone. The car is located in Leesburg, VA. PM me with any questions and/or offers.

Modifications:
K-Sport Coilovers (maybe 2k miles on these)
Slotted/Cross-Drilled Rotors
SS Brake Lines
Non-Cruise Throttle Cable
Prothane Motor Mounts
Solid Shifter Cable Bushings
3” Turbo Back Exhaust w/ O2 bung welded in for WBO2
17” 3g Eclipse Wheels
Autometer 30-0-30 Boost Gauge
Dual Gauge A Pillar Pod
Rewired Walbro 255HP Fuel Pump (maybe 2k miles of use)

New Parts:
OEM Clutch Master Cylinder
General Exclaim UHP 215/45ZR17 tires
Fuel Filter
Headlight Housings
Clear Corners (one has a cracked mounting tab and is loose)

Missing:
Front Bumper Support
Engine
Transmission

Your photo link is broken. If you do decide to part it out, I may be interested in the coilovers. GLWS

My apologies! Link has been fixed. That's what I get for doing a copy and paste :P

I'll keep you in mind if no one wants the rolling chassis. Thanks for the space.

Can you take some pics of the frame rails, wheel wells in front of rear tire and pinch welds? I am currently searching for a new shell and this looks pretty good.

Thanks!
