Anyone with a 3G shifter should be installing the 4G shifter unit. You mesh together a few portions from each, mainly the shifter arm from the 4G, and you have an EVO short shifter.
I'm putting together the bushings for a full rebuild of the swapped 3G/4G shifter; which I coincidentally got from 89Mirageman in one of these for sale threads!
Best trans/shifter mod you can do, and it is cheap.

Thanks Tim! Also 1g dsm shifter bushings work as well. I grabbed some from the lower part of a dsm shifter and used them on my 4g. Seems the lower bushings have less wear.

Anyone looking to price out bushings if they cannot find them, I have all the bushing part numbers listed in my members thread.
That includes C53a/90DSM/CA2A=EVO1-3/GVR4.
Rebuilds can be had from RTM Racing, as well as Mitsu stock, found around the world.
http://www.4g61t.org/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 8&start=90
Here is what I am ordering:
MB580253 x4 <- Custom brass equivalents from RTM
MB367320 x5 <- that is likely 3 too many as the CA2A/EVO3 base likely uses only 2
MB307949 x1 <- the bushing cylinder that makes half of the pivot for the lower point of the shifter arm for the CA2A

Anyways, on with the show! 8)
