I've decided I'm sick of my 1.6l motor taking up space and I don't see me using it anytime soon, so I'll see if there is any interest. It's the original block out of my turbo mirage, I broke the timing belt on it thus destroying the head. Everything from the head down is on the motor and will come with it. The block and cylinder walls are is good condition, as well as the crank, rods and three of the pistons. The number 3 piston has some scoring from the valves hitting it but it looks usable to if need be. The motor had a little under 120k on it when pulled and judging by oil and water passages it was well taken care of. I replaced the rod bearings when I got the car and the crank and rod journals were well within spec and the new bearings only have around 6k on them. I can get pictures if you'd like to show what all is there and condition. I'm guessing this will only get local interest but if someone else really wants it I can ship if you pay. So just shoot me an offer or any questions you may have and we'll go from there. -John 303-618-3644 |

I might be interested. I'm gonna pull the pan off my engine this friday and if I find damage I might need to replace it. |

Let me know, if I don't have any interest in the whole block I may be willing to part it out to lower shipping costs.

Looks like I'm good to go so I won't be needing your shortblock. |

I'm going to bump this once again and put a bid in at $150 OBO. You can throw a head on this motor and clean up the top of the third piston and have a good condition motor. Or use it for a basic rebuild, I know all the internals can hold high boost and power with no problem. Or another option is put it on your boat and use it as a damn anchor. -John |
