The time has come to give up my project until I have the time and money to give it the time it deserves. This has been my on going project for 2 years and has been a great fun car. I bought it with a 1.5l and 3 speed auto. I immediately swapped in the 4g63t with a fwd setup at first. After getting it to run 13.0 @ 115 I was sick of spinning till 60mph and put it under the knife for an awd drivetrain.
Anyway, on to the specs, info, etc!
89 Mirage LS sedan
Pearl white paint
Like no rust, tiny spot on the lower fender, underbody is rust free
Custom rearend mounts, measured and re-measured, was shop alignment verified
custom driveshaft mounts (does vibrate on decel and at 65-70, a 2 piece driveshaft would be the best resolution)
Custom front engine mount, stock turbo mirage DS and modded stock trans, no rear mount (didn't like my original design, front mount does a great job alone)
Scirroco radiator setup w/2 1200cfm fans + 160* thermostat (keeps cooling easily under control)
Motor-
91 6 bolt motor- stock bore, rebuilt 13k ago, 155 compression except for #2 which is 130 (ring didn't seal well, you wouldn't know it by how well it runs and pulls), all external parts were replaced (oil pump, timing, w/p, etc) when it was rebuilt. Just installed new valve stem seals and DKS 272 cams.
Mods- 2g mas with 4" k&n, 31x12x3 fmic with short 2 1/2" piping, 1g bov, bolt on afpr, 255 intank pump, 560 evo injectors, ecmlink v3 lite
Turbo- b16g in a ported 14b housing, has one turbo bolt thread messed up, needs to be tapped, spools quick, good power, mbc set at 19-20psi. It will come with a good 14b and evo 3 housing.
Exhaust- ported 2g manifold, ported stock 1g to a full 2 1/2" exhaust with cat. No muffler at the moment but I left it so there is plenty of space to put one in. It sounds good and pretty quiet without a muffler.
Suspension- 1g awd springs all the way around, kyb 1g struts in front, kyb agx's in the rear, 1g awd hubs all the way around, new bearings and seals in the rear, new brake pads all the way around, SS lines
Wheels- 16" motegi wheels with yoko para spec 2's, tons of thread.
Drivetrain- 92 AWD transmission, ss slave line, Fidanza, XTD stage 2 PP w/ ClutchNet 4 puck unsprung (not very hard to drive, very little stutter and only at low rpm), stock AWD driveshaft, 4 bolt rearend. All fluids are Redline, shifts good, scratches on high rpm shifts into 2nd but doesn't lock out and don't cause problems, also scratches when down shifting into 3rd if you don't wait a second or act like your going to 2nd gear first. Just want to be as open as possible, this transmission shifts great and I've gone 12.53 @ 109 with nlts hooked up.
Body- It is in great overall shape for the age. Does have some dents and dings, and could use another paint job but it doesn't look horrible (much better then it was when I got it). No rust!
Interior- This is the last part of the project I have yet to finish. It needs carpet ($160) and back seat ($??). It doesn't have a back seat, the one in it was wrecked so I threw it out, front seats are dirty but surprisingly comfortable. Has a new cd/mp3 deck, new speakers all around, custom door panels and headliner. Really just needs to be finished.
I've got a lot more money invested into this car then I'm asking. Just had the exhaust made ($500) and new gas tank ($160). I've put countless hours, blood, tears and money into it. It kills me to see it go but I just bought a practical daily and I have to sell it. The car is located in Houston, TX.

If someone wants the roller w/ everything except motor/trans/transfer case/intercooler setup I'd be willing to sell it for $1500. Perfect to turn into a street/strip car, just needs minor tweaking (rear mount redone and maybe some other small stuff).
I might even be willing to trade for some stuff. Built motor parts, gaming system, wheels, etc. Throw me some offers.
