Post subject: | FS: Parting out '89 turbo colt, awd *added more July 5th* |
Well the time has come for me to part out my colt. Its not worth me keeping or someone else buying, the car is rusting apart, I am sure if I kept it and kept doing my plans to it that I would not feel safe doing 10's in it. So the car is an 1989 Dodge Colt Turbo. There is not much stock left on it but I also have boxes of stock parts in the shed, mostly dsm. It still has complete interior, minus the stock seats are gone. If anyone wants the some oem turbo colt interior parts either reply to this or pm me - pay for shipping and give me a few bucks and its yours. I am not looking to make lots of money from the stock parts. - 1G Megan Racing Coilover setup - $500 sold - 6 bolt ACT 2900 clutch - $300 - 6 bolt Aluminum Findanza flywheel - $100 sold - Also have a brand new friction plate and mounting bolts for this - Found another aluminum awd flywheel, missing one pin to align the pressure plate - offers sold - 1G Shep stage 3 tranny - $1000 sold - Scatter shield - $70 - Drilled brake rotors (front only) – offers sold - 1G AWD upgraded rear sway bar and end links - $100 sold - 4 bolt lsd rear diff/axles if anyone is interested – offers sold - Inline fuel pump, I believe it was 255 Liters/hour – offers sold - Inline fuel filter, dual ½’’ NPT inlet and outlets, also have spare filter somewhere – sold - Stainless fuel cell, think its about 45 liters - $100 or so sold - 95 lb/hour injectors - $350 sold - AFPR, AN inlet line – sold - 6 bolt head, oversized valves, revised lifters, dual valve springs, ported intake and exhaust ports, 272 cams, adjustable gears - $1000 sold - Eagle forged crank, stock stroke, ground .010’’ - $700 - Eagle forged rods - $350 - Wiesco pistons are now hooped - Block is hooped (cylinder 2 and 3 are not bored straight with the crank) - Exhaust manifold is a cheap ebay something or other - offers - Garret 60-1 turbo - $600 - External wastegate - $100 - Vi-Pec ECU - $1400 – uses stock sensors and stock wiring harness, pretty wicked computer - Innovative A/F meter, LC-1 - offers sold - FMIC, 2.5’’ inlet/outlet, 2.25’’ core (I think), its large, about 16x28? – offers - Transfer case – stock sold - I have 5 point harnesses, but they are just past expiry for the track - FMIC sprayer, hose, bottle rack, solenoids - offers locally sold - Aluminum rad from a VW scirrocco (fits nice in the colt rad cradle haha) c/w dual fans/shrouds – offers sold - DSM dual piston front calipers - offers (I have two sets of these for some reason) Most of the heavy stuff I would prefer to ship locally, so to let you know this same list will be posted on a few other more local forums too. I am sure there are more things for me to add to the list but I am not home right now, and if anyone wants some pictures just reply here. I have some pictures online I can post up, or I can take more when I am home on monday. I know I have about 3 other turbo ecu's, one is socketed, and one might be the oem 4g61t ecu, and the other one I am not sure. The head, turbo, tranny, clutch, vipec ecu, suspension all are about 2 years old with an afternoon of tuning on it and maybe 1000 kms of road time after. I really wanted to take it to the track to see what it would do, but the machining on the block was screwed up and I tore down the motor before it damaged anything else. If anyone has questions or offers, feel free to ask, even if its not on the list I might have something. - Joe July 5: - Also just realised today that I still have the stock manual seatbelts if anyone wants them. I dont think I have the little plastic caps for the bolts on the lower bars. The retractor on the seat belts are a little weak, but they do roll up in time, or after the passenger gets out, give it about a block and they will be back up haha. After all, its a 20+ year old car. The latches for them are bolted to my new seats, I think the stock place for them are on the seats too? I am totally not familiar with the auto seatbelts and where they latch to. Say, $50 plus shipping? Blue in color. - I have the oem upper spoiler and side skirts, silver in color. - offers - Also have the rear deck cover and speaker grills, blue in color - offers - Power mirrors - offers (not sure if the non turbo csm's come with the wiring for it?) I am having troubles with images today on image shack, but I do have pictures and can get more this week if needed. Shoot me a pm with an email and I can send some pics to who ever is in wonder. - Joe - Updated list June 25th |

No, that one belongs to coltdie. This car is silver, among other colors. ![]() |

The downpipe is nothing special, its something that I made from a piece of 3'' bent pipe, cutting and welding it to make a tighter bend, it drops down to just below the oil pan but runs too close to the oil filter housing for my liking. This is with the stock water/oil oil cooler. Because of this I have bought the oil filter housing that allows to run an external oil filter (to gain more distance between the down pipe and the oil filter).Quote: What hubs are on the car?
The hubs on the car are the 4 bolt pattern. The drilled rotors do have both patterns on them, the 4 bolt that matches the colt hubs and the 5 bolt that matches dsm hubs. But to put these rotors on a colt, you need to do the captive rotor modifications, forgot to mention this above. I also have 5 lug hubs for the rear diff somewhere...And this is the car with the stock tranny, older turbo, stock suspension, and in general just a horrible setup. ![]() haha, I have the other red power mirror too somewhere... |
