Early bird gets the worm. I almost had your white colt. :axe: I didnt have anyone willing to go with me and share in the adventure of trying to get it home. Plus i didnt have a lot of home support in owning another colt lol.

Just teasing but im glad you got it it went to a great home and you have saved it. :supz:
The Laser sold so I kept the Colt, still have it.. for now.

I don't think he is on here, he's on WashingtonDSM facebook page tho. I actually bought my first Mirage, the one I still have, from his father I believe it was.

Anyone know this car? It is AWD and my friend found it messing around today. He called me saying he wants it bad. Seems pretty stock aside from being AWD.

I'd be surprised if it failed because of the EGR valve. It doesn't really come into play, but a good 3 way cat will. Assuming no EGR delete, which only makes a difference to a visual inspection for anyone that cares. My car has had been through every possible parts swap with regards to EGR equipped and not, and only a clean ignition, proper timing, and maybe a few fuel type tricks, with a good 3 way catalytic will get you through stringent emissions. For a laugh, see my EGR thread in the archives.

That car is painted like another we had here years ago. Strange to see the intercooler tucked so far into the engine bay.

Unfortunately, Commie-fornia does more than a sniff of the tailpipe. They also visually check for components. I still can't believe that a buyer is responsible for fees because the previous owner could not get it to pass. We have ZERO vehicle and Emissions inspections here in Central Indiana. That is why custom cars are so popular.

Population density and smog drive the emissions formulas I figure. Same here in Ontario, Canada. We have it in a one days drive length area, and nothing around it past a minimum distance point. No one to pay for the $60k etest machines! We have a 1988 and holding year threshold unfortunately, but if you have a documented swapped motor, you can apply for 1980 emission standards. I pass with no EGR (Cyclone) and a two step idle/rpm test, no rollers. All my equipment including charcoal canister are up to snuff and I pass with flying colors.

Somebody please buy this! I know there isn't much traffic through here anymore but I'd like to see a enthusiast end up with this and not some kid who will beat it to pieces. :( I would buy it but I have no room and too many projects as it is.
