I have a 1989 Dodge Colt GT Turbo that I am looking to sell. I know I haven't posted on this site before but I have read a lot of the posts in the last 5 years. I am in the Air Force and I am stationed near Shreveport, LA. I assure you I am honest and not looking take advantage of anyone.
A little about the car. I originally bought the car from Texas in 2006. It was completely original except for the radio. I think it has only been titled in Texas prior to me buying it. It currently has a clean title from Louisiana. I bought it with the intention of turning it into a sleeper/track car but ended up using it as a daily driver until this past December. I don't have time for another project and I figure it's time to pass it on to someone who has the time and devotion it needs. The car runs pretty good, slight idle surge
Bad
-When I bought the car it did have some damage to the right front fender and front bumper from a low speed accident (parking lot). I replaced the front fender and the bumper with one from a plymouth laser (or mits eclipse).
-I replaced the timing belt, ac/acces belts, and water pump about 2 1/2-3 years ago (maybe 8,000-10,000 miles ago). Unfortunately, the water pump is leaking from the weap hole. I filled it up about every week and a half but I only live 4 miles from work.
-Dash has two crack in it
-Driver side door panel starting to fade and crack on top.
e-has bad tint (none on back window)
-Original wheels missing one center cap
Mods
-DSM throttle body (new shaft seals)
-FIAV block off plate
-EGR block off plate
-silicone vac hoses (red, a little tacky but it's what I had)
-emission stuff removed (canister, sensors, hoses)
-manual seat belts from a mirage (driver side didn't work)
-K&N with a cut filter box
-The interior is stock. The pictures show a DSM steering wheel that is not included, stock one included.
-The gauge cluster surround/bezel is about a year old (bought from a dodge dealer new).
-I replaced the original turbo (burning oil) with one with low miles on it.
-new brake pads recently and the brakes work well.
Extra parts
-six bolt JDM 4G63t w/cyclone intake. I found it in a '94 eclipse in a u pull it. I know that a '94 eclipse came with a seven bolt so I figure this was ordered as a replacement motor. It was not hooked up properly to run (ECU wiring, sensor, vac lines, cyclone intake) so I assume the person never got it running and gave up.
-DSM turbo calipers and the rebuild seals
-brand new rotors
-Elantra vac assist and master cyc
-spare interior trim pieces if you want to put in the original seat belts
-the original bumper cover
-DSM intake manifold
-DSM A/C compressor and mount
-brand new charcoal carpet
-extra turbo (needs rebuild)
-DSM 15g turbo (needs rebuild)
-original uncut filter box
-emission sys parts/hoses
-numerous other parts/pieces from colts/DSM's/other mits
I want to sell the car but I am not desperate to do so. I will be traveling to Wichita Falls, TX on July 29 and I am willing to drop it off if your location is on the way. The buyer will have to reimburse gas costs (I'll have to drive my truck) and will have to provide the trailer or dolly (rental). If after 12 August I will also transport it within 100 miles of Shreveport if the above conditions are met. I have until the middle of September to sell it and then it will be off the market until next May, then I will try to sell it again. As far as price goes, I would like to get $2500 but I am open to any fair/honest offer. Like I said, I'm not trying to take advantage.
