I decided to make the same tool that Jay Racing makes for setting the cam gears while doing a timing belt installation. I plan on getting it made out of 1/2" aluminum. I am still waiting for the quote on how much it is going to cost to have made. A few people are interested on the local forum but figured I would try you guys. I do not expect to make much money on these at all, I just wanted to provide a good tool to an awesome community of people. Here is a picture of what I have drawn up. I will upload a 3D picture later.

Let me know if you are interested. I am thinking the price will be around $25 plus shipping but will include a handle unlike the Jay Racing but more like the Kent Moore tool.

Agreed, a Delrin tool will be much easier on the gears... especially for those with pretty adjustables!

I'd be interested as well and agree with the previous two comments on a softer, yet durable material.

Why not just buy it from Jay racing, no point trying to reinvent the wheel... They aren't that expensive to start with.

I did it out of boredom. It's too cold to work on my colt so I decided to do this. I have plenty of interest in it locally so I figured I would put it on here in case anyone else wanted one. My buddy has the plastic one and he said its kind of a bitch to get it out because it has no handle. Like I said before, I am not doing this to make money so if nobody here wants one that is fine with me.
