Going to start off with a introduction of I picked up this car non running and sat for 10+ years. Car is a two owner with both owners working in the DSM Plant in bloomington. I open the glove box to find all the paperwork except for the window sticker but even the original diamond care check list for it being delivered to the first owner.

This is the day i picked her up

After getting her home I found out the turbo was seized, fuel tank was done for as well as the fuel pump like expected for sitting without draining the fuel.

After all this I decided to go ahead and throw a 1g manifold on and a 14b thanks to some research here on the forum. Next was to get the new tank rather than a fuel cell. Ordered one through autozone with the luck of it not lining up right so had to modify the mounting points on the tank and threw in delphi pump. Next was to get it all starting. Removed the injectors and got the great black chunks of old fuel out.

She started up first try after sitting all that long.

Next I plan to throw in a 1g MAF and injectors and play with some boost. The goal for this car is only 300whp which is all i feel like she should need to be a blast to drive and the main purpose of to catch people off guard.

I will update this as i go but so far this is where ive gotten too.

Aw man thats a score! should have got a tank from rock auto. Mine fit like a glove. Love the turbo graphics down the side. its a shame they aren't in better shape though. Or does it just look like they are peeling off in the picture?
