I'll be very interested to see how that 3spd. Auto holds up to the 4G63's power. Neat project! |

big snag- i did not realize that the g32b and even 4g15 use a 5 bolt crank now i need to find a 6 bolt n/a flex plate, and spacer plates and crank bushing i can order all these parts new, it seems. pretty cheap too i will just keep going forward with the swap. maybe i can get it conpleted before the parts get here! (it usually takes two weeks, im in canada! im just going to get it running with no intercooler, and stock everything |

haha the alternator plug fell out. it doesnt snap in, ill have to get a new one. car runs like it has major vacuum leaks.(idles way too fast) max boost is 5 psi and it takes forever to get there. (i used a very cracked turbine housing, just temporary) feels like the tranny slips a lot under the power. it only seems to wirk well at very little throttle too. i am very confused. it should just pull like a monster. i think there may be a fuel related problem. or it should slip like a monster. i would think it would burn the tires right off in first. maybe ill just have to steal the wideband from my other colt to see whats going on |

Are you running the factory auto tranny? I could see that slipping all day as it wasn't designed for that level of power/torque. |

Agreed, these things fail/slip with the tiny engine attached to them. |

yeah its weird. it doesnt really seem like its slipping though. it feels like the engine is just not making any power. it runs MINT under super low throttle. , iit feels like 100 hp at 1/8 throttle, but if i honk on it it feels like the engine is not getting fuel or something. it doesnt miss, it just acts like im pressing the brakes at the same time as the gas. i have no experience with auto trannies. i really just thought it would be fun to try. i want to blow this bitch up proper. i need to do some basic troubleshooting. it also kind of feels like the slipping the tranny does is horrible as far as spooling up a turbo goes, would be great for saving fuel at this point running a 14 second pass on the stock auto isnt seeming very possible |

There are actually guys over on the mirage forums that have used the f5m21 trans with their 4g63t swaps and didn't have any issues with it holding the power. Guess only time will tell. |

yeah, it was in my other 63t colt before i awd swapped it. the clutch and trans was working well with 240ish bhp. this is only 140 or so right now by my math. would hold up forever, but i probably wont be keeping it at this level for long it has the stock 1 1/4 exhaust and no intercooler and 6 psi. and yes it does rip pretty good even though the power is super low maybe in a year or two ill awd swap this one too |
