I found this car on a thread that was posted in the mid atlantic forums on tuners. This is a one owner car that a nice lady owned, she darn near cried when we took it. Originally a west coast car the owner relocated to Virginia after leaving a Mitsu dealer in the late nineties. The car had a balance shaft belt break and developed a strong vibrations in the motor, so she regretfully had a local mechanic do a timing job on it. It lasted 100 miles then slipped and took out the head and number one piston. The mechanic was supposed to make it right but the car sat for almost ten years in the process. Well now here she is and I am getting ready to drop a refreshed engine back in her an keeping it stock for a dd. I think it was a good $500.00 investment. And since my summit has seen it's better days it's getting most of it's parts donated to my awd colt swap and the gvr4. This will leave basically a rolling shell if anyone is interested in some parts off of it.

Enough with the background and onto the pictures!

How I found it,

Damn! You made out like a bandit on that deal. Throw some fresh paint on this thing, and it's good as new! You could turn around sell it for $5-6k easily, or keep it for a really long time.

Nice find 8) but the floors and brake/gas lines could be rotten for sitting in the dirt for that long.

I haven't checked the tank yet, hopefully it isn't rusted. Other than that the car has zero rot on it.

Very nice, especially for that price. You could probably triple your money w/o even touching it. I know how it is though, we always want to keep them all. 8)

Lucky you have tank access through the rear floor under the seat. Cool that GVR4's have a tank drain plug like CSM's too.
Saw this thread over at the ORG, so always interesting to see how many members have their hands in different Mitsu pies at one time.

Fuel pump access panel is in the trunk, almost at the very back of the car, on the left side. Pretty much right under the access panel for the jack and tool kit.

Got it finished a few weeks ago, been super busy lately. Just noticed all my pics are down, gotta address that soon. I put my 1g ets fmic on last sunday because the puny stock ic heatsoaks so bad. It surprised me how easy it went on the car, it actually fit better than the Summit. Now I need to decide whether to ditch the evo maf or not for speed density, since I still have all the stuff from my Summit. With the exception of a exhaust leak at the flex section the car runs amazing, even at a 15lbs of boost on a 14b. I will get some pics uploaded soon.
