Well havent posted on here in awhile...Went to Korea and moved to florida and just got settled in for the most part. I still have my awd colt and love it --> http://www.4g61t.org/forum/viewtopic.ph ... &hilit=awd . Anyways picked this up from 2ltrbeater in TX a few months ago --> http://www.4g61t.org/forum/viewtopic.ph ... &hilit=awd . I have been wanting to do a 4g63 swap in one of these for almost 10 years but never found a decent shape AWD 5 speed better yet found one at all. Engine is pretty clean honestly hestitent about pulling the stock motor out ![]()

Contemplating on tearing apart the colt to donate to the minivan....I have always been against tearing apart a good running car. I can piece a setup in the garage together but this setup would be nice in the van. Decisions decisions

Did you get that Colt from Cali? I am pretty sure that is mine and RedSleeper's old rig! If you tear it apart you HAVE to let me know, I want that chassis back. |

Yeah i lived in Cali when I bought it. Got it shipped to florida when i got stationed here. Christmas time and family in town is slowing the build down right now. Updates should be coming soon. I am at least going degrease and pressure wash the engine bay tommorrow. Merry xmas! |

Pulled the poweplant from the colt. I am dedicated now...going to switch it up for awhile and let the colt take a break. I never drive it anyways its a garage queen plus head gasket was starting to slightly push coolant under high boost. More toto come hopefully getting motor/tranny mounted in the van by this weekend and start fitment for different turbo/intake setups. I would ideally like to keep AC. ![]()

Alright so update time....Got quite a bit more done over the past couple of months. I have been slowly working on it being I always have too many projects going on at once. Still have lots of little random things to finish but my main goal is to get it fired up and running. I have been studying DSM/CSM wiring schematics and digging through forums doing alot of learning over the last month. Previous owner partially spliced in 1g dsm ecu connectors to the summit ecu harness which saved me alot of work. So now I am just going through verifying things were wired correctly and finishing everything else needed to make the turbo motor run (distributor-to-coilpack/transitor/CAS, SD setup, knock, DSM throttle body sensors, Injector resistor box) There is probably more but that is what i am working on as of now. Hope to be part of the 4g63t powered van crew soon Setup as of now to get it road worthy: Motor 2.3 stroker Manley rods Mahle Pistons 9.5:1 pistons 100mm crank 1mm over valves FP3 cams Manley springs and retainers crazy head work on ports and bowls new timing components and water pump Tranny Rebuilt trans: W5M33 center diff with end cap 96 W5M33 intermediate shaft with 2nd gear and dual syncro 93 W5M31 input shaft with W5M33 3rd and 4th syncros 96 W5M33 ½ and ¾ shift rails with forks 93 W5M31 5/R shift rail and 5th gear with 96 W5M33 reverse brake and wave spring PTT Twin Disk Turbo Blox T3 manifold Tial 44mm wastegate Precision 30r BB turbo Custom 4bolt downpipe DSMlink V3 Speed Density Omni 4 Bar Map GM IAT Precision 1000's Walbro 255 Fuel pump Aeromotive 1000 FP regulator w/ braided lines Magnus SMIM Rebuilt 1G 63mm Throttle body JRC FMIC Engine shots ![]() ![]() ![]() Some engine bay cleaning not great but better ![]() ![]() ![]() Timing belt mount was demolished thanks Rockauto for the new one! ![]() Timing components replaced w/ new water pump and twin disk/tranny bolted on ![]() And its finally bolted in... ![]() Johnny racecar FMIC installed ![]() Intake and exhaust setups on ![]() My current status with wiring i need some pigtails!! help! --------> http://www.4g61t.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=37648 ![]() Thats just looks bad lol...
