We did get lucky. Had to replace the door too as it was dented too. At least the windows are manual, making the swap of the glass and door lock easier.

I have been fortunate enough to drive this thing in the last couple days. The RVR transmission is shifting FABULOUS now using the Kiggly mod. Makes you giggle every time you drive it. 20 PSI, cracking off shifts @ 6k like clockwork. I highly expect this baby to be in the 11's @ the track!!!!

I fell in love with this car over the build and purchased the wagon. I am currently going to try and update this soon as I am working on getting my hands on a bigger turbo. The week I got the Summit before the rims were stolen

Tonight I plan on working on my talon a bit to see what parts I need for it and then dropping it on the ground to get the Summit in the garage. I was having some MAF issues and still don't know what the problem is. We chased our tails for a weekend a while back and the following week the rims and tires were stolen off the summit. Some local kid was feeding his drug addition by selling my setup for $200 and worst part is he drive a 5 lug galant that he loves but knows nothing about dsm etc. My hands are tied and the cops know he did it but explained the prosecutors office won't do anything. So moving on, I am looking at some avid rims that will be 17x8.5 30 offset. I will see if they fit but need to get the car back on the road to get it to the shop so I put the blue summit rims on the red summit. We think the gm maf cable to 1g maf is bad or the gm maf was bad. We had 3 different mafs and all did the same thing which led us to bad fuel, ignition, to headaches and I am back to bad gm maf or cable. So tonight I am putting everything back the way but with a new gm maf to see what it does. It will hate our cold weather.
So what rims do you think I should run?

DsmLink said I was having a MAF issue. We replaced the MAF with a few different 3in gm maf. Well, I did some investigation last night in the snow. I took the Ecmlink GM MAF adapter harness out of the summit and started to cut the wire looms and heat shrink apart. I came to find a lot of corrosion on the board. I ordered a new one and they are 2 weeks on back order. So I will have that in the next 3 weeks and the car back on the road.

Maybe when you get the new one, you can dip the board cover in epoxy to keep it sealed?

It was sealed very nicely Thom and I didn't expect any problems. I think it was an internal issue not so much water or moisture getting in. Pics are soon to come as soon as I can get one of my photobuck or imageshack accounts to let me upload.

i was blown away after hating imageshack phoyobucket etc. you dont even need an account

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AVID1-AV16-Gold ... 07&vxp=mtr

If they accept I will get picture and detail when they arrive. If not I assume I can sell to one of my 240sx friends.

We had rip apart a lot of stuff to diagnose the maf cable problem. I got it 90% back together and need to put the tune back on and do some shake down. I am hoping this afternoon to do some shake down on my talon and on the summit.
In bigger news I got the Avid Av16 16x8 +25 on the car with some 225/50/16 Brig Potenza RE760. The front springs were chopped and I was sitting flush with the fender. It looks amazing but is too close for comfort as I want to get this as close to daily status as I can. I like my cars being able to take a 1hour trip to Indy and back. So with that being said, I ordered some Tein lowering springs as they are 1.2in drop in the front. If I still have a lot of clearance then I will buy some megan and put the Tein on the colt or something.

Unless this board ever came in contact with salt water or acid; Looks like they used a water based flux and didn't wash the board afterwards. This can cause corrosion over time.

Either way if this is a board that is supposed to be used outside it should be coated with (non-acidic) silicone, urethane or clear epoxy or similar resist coatings.

Non-withstanding, if it was ever covered with silicone caulking(almost all of it is acidic) this can cause corrosion also.

The new wheel/tire setup looks awesome! I thought +25 offset wheels stuck out quite a bit but these don't look like they do. Maybe its the angle of the pics.
