 Post subject: evo rear floor in a c53a

Hi all from OZ

Still new to this site. let me fill you in a little. bought a c53a front wheel drive no motor just a plan car. and i was thinking about doing a vr4 rear in it. but i could not really find all the info i wanted. so i though how hard would it be to put a evo 1-2-3 rear floor in. ppl told me NO way that cant be down your crazy and i though stuff it why not so here is the link for my build

I can't check pics at work, but I find that sort of negativity usually comes from people who can't weld, lol. All metal can be joined to all other metal, with a bit of elbow grease :).

I am so happy to see that floor pan installed and how close it fit up. I have always wanted to install what is known here in Canada, as the 1993+ Summit and Colts.
They have independent rear suspension, but it is not the 4WD style, they were FWD. Very interesting to see this happening, as we have next to no EVO 2 parts to cut up on this side of the pond.

More power to you, and super happy to see this happening. Learn something new everyday. 8)

Thank you for your coment. its only taken a couple of months to put it together. ill keep you posted as i get things done to it as i work on it everday.

and one of the big reasons i put the rear end of the floor in is so ive got a evo fuel tank and coilovers.
and i think it was going to be a little bit stronger.

ill get under the car today and take some pics of the bracing we have put in.

car made 168kw on 4psi at 4500rpm then the rear diff locked up ill be going back new week
