Picked up a power steering pump at the junkyard today, since mine leaks pretty badly. I also grabbed a black top CAS, since it was half price day :). If I hadn't forgotten my 3/8" ratchet, I would have tried to grab the rear shocks off the AWD 1Gb that I found the s16g on. Ah well...tomorrow is a half-price day too...;).

First day back from a Cuban vacation and already spent all the leftover vacation money on some injectors :). I found a set of 650s at the shop, so they're now in my 'to install' pile. That pile includes the s16G, and at some point, a properly sized clutch. The one I got initially was for a slightly-improved 1.6/13G setup, and was slipping at high RPM with the 2.0/14b.

Well, it may be blasphemy, but I'll be replacing my steering wheel. The way I sit in the car puts my arms too far from the wheel to be comfy, so I went on aussie ebay and found this:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/390495173052?ssP ... 035wt_1124

Hopefully it's the right one. Sounds like it is, but I'll find out when it arrives I guess.

I've also got an ACT flywheel on the way, from natedog's partout, so it's a good month...with the exception of the -190*C temperatures. Bah winter.

Do you have a telescoping wheel now?

Nice, I've been looking into steering wheel options too, let us know how that works out for you.

I do, but the 1cm it actually moves isn't enough, lol.

If someone is after a telescopic wheel, I may know of one for sale....;)

You'll need to swap out the column too to change the wheel to non telescoping. I added a telescoping wheel to my car an swapped the column too. They are not the same. If you search some members have not had any luck finding the right hub for the telescoping column. The non telescoping column should take a DSM specific hub, IIRC.

I know ;).
If you look at the ebay link I posted, it says it's for the cars with the telescopic wheel. The 'colt' momo hub is listed as #6105, but it makes no distinction between non-telescopic and telescopic, so I didn't want to take a chance on it. Ebay.com.au has a better selection when it comes to the GTturbo stuff, so my fingers are crossed that it's the right one. If it's not, ah well, I've taken more expensive shots for the team, lol :).

If it's the right one though, I'll be very happy.

Oh, fear not...I'll be posting the minute it comes in, haha.
I'm stoked too...especially if it's the right one. It's not that I don't dig the GT wheel, but I have to reach too far once my seat is in the right place.

...hmm...maybe I need new seats too...

Hub came in, it's acceptable. It's DEFINITELY not show-car quality, and it required a bit of tweaking, but it fits! Now all I have to do is get a wheel :).

Code updates: I've gotten a patch for the stock code that clamps the MAF airflow value so a vented BOV can be used. It won't solve any leaky-idle issues, but it will reduce the richness between shifts, and prevent stall-out while clutching in. It requires a functional IPS though. Can't wait to try this out!

Emissions testing: passed! 2.0 at 1.6 emission standards :).
Safety: passed :).

Monday it's getting insurance, and as of tuesday it will be road-legal and ready to go. I'm so stoked!

Congratulations! That's always a huge hurdle to overcome.
