Got a big sheet of metal and made a one-piece rocker replacement panel. Then got cold and came inside. Bah cold garage, you suck :(.

1) Got the new rocker 50% welded on. Very happy.
2) Got a nice piece of welding slag in my ear. Very UNhappy. I can't imagine there's a worse pain, unless it's a cactus down the urethra.
3) No pics...see #2. Was a bit distracted, lol.

Tonight I'll be able to finish up, hopefully. I'm also going to make sure my touque is pulled WAAAAAAAAAY down ;).

Tell me about it. I figured that slag down the sleeve or shoe was bad...but in the ear is one million times worse, lol.

Did a bit more welding and plotting tonight. It should be fairly simple to finish up, but I'm going to take a bit of a break. The daily mini-Ford needs winter prep.

On another note...anyone know if a 16x8 ET12 wheel will fit in the back? A buddy is selling some cool wheels...;)

Ours factory rims are ET 46MM, so there is the spec for comparison.

Big thanks to Mr. Flying Eagle for stopping by today with a few goodies. I owe him a LOT! :D. My car will be looking good next summer thanks to him. :supz:

Got the driver's side done! I'm waiting for the seam sealer to dry, and then I'll slap a bit of paint on it for the winter.

Next up is the passenger side...

Glad to help, and right back at ya! Thanks to broke4speed, I now have a solution to my leaking radiator; a non-leaking radiator. Car will be driveable once again.
You've got some great ideas for the car, and a knack for fabrication, so this car will be a fun daily for sure.

It's a joyous day...the welding is done. My colt is structurally sound again :).
Just waiting for the seam sealer to dry and I'll see if I can find a color match spraybomb.

Next up...engine build!

Since it was nearly triple the temperature it is supposed to be in November up here, I hung out in the driveway for a bit, just drinking a coke and staring at the car. It's going to be a long winter, sigh :(.

A layer of rockerguard, a light layer of grey primer, and some Krylon 'silver' seems to be 'close enough'. It'll probably look terrible in the sun, but it won't rust again ;). I also got the undermatting and carpet back down, and the driver's fender 'mostly' on. Just have to bolt it in at the bottom and it'll be done.

Wh00t! Started painting the passenger side rocker, bolted up the driver's fender, and sewed the tear in the seam of the driver's seat cover. It's been a productive night!

Plasti-Dip.

Go wild on the color but stay matte finish and if you hate it, peel it off.
