So, I figured out how to get the shifter cables out... wow I feel like even more of an idiot than I initially thought. Anyways, I got all the stuff out am in the middle of really thinking hard on what to cut before I do it.

yet another fruitful day! I got the mounts needed to bolt in the 4G63T into the mirage! cost a whole $15.99!! it was well worth pulling a engine apart for the desired mounts:)

(for future reference I am using 1995 Elantra 1.8L mounts: Timing side mount and behind the engine where it bolts to the craddle) I will make a list of what someone might need to do this later.

No Fabrication progress BUT I have had the motor and trans/transfer case torn down and inspected.

I'm using high compression pistons 9.5:1 and a custom valve cover (will make sure to post pics of this handmade beauty)

Could I have some advice or someone tell me the merits of using a twin disc setup? (besides making you have less money in your wallet so you can save weight to make your 1/4 mile times better)

Hello Bigger Brakes and Drilled/Slotted Rotors!

I got my Talon Spindles and brakes on now!

I'll be more than happy to take pictures tomorrow.

(Its been busy with getting rid of seven cars around here)

Progress is slow... but steady.

Engine is out, trying to decide weather to dress up the engine bay or not. ***Considering conversion to Wilwood brake/clutch pedals.

Dash and all Electronics are being sorted, heater and blower are going to be kept excluding A/C.

I'm curious, does anyone else have a sunroof conversion to their Mirage/colt?

Lastly, I am having issues with tires rubbing as you can see. I'm going to go ahead and cut the wheel well out on this side and make my own larger one.

SO the Talon knuckles and everything just bolt right up? what kind of shocks/springs are you using?

BTW sunroofs are dealer add ons for these cars as the majority of older cars. That's a generic flip up sunroof that they cut out of the roof after it hit the lot. Sorry to break your bubble though. It was either installed by the dealer as an option to jack up the price, by customer request or at a sunroof place by the original owner. Sunroof installation got less popular since they were starting to come as options from the manufacturer.
