Special thanks to Turbo Tom, a wealth of knowledge... Parts needed for the swap: -4G63 engine and tranny (duh!) with the matching wire harness and ECU -The crossmember from the 92-95 elantra (Auto or M/T will both work) -The front and rear engine mount brackets from the 92-95 elantra (you'll also be using the 92-95 elantra front and rear mounts) -The driver side "L" shaped motor mount from the 92-95 Elantra (you'll also be using the 92-95 elantra driver side engine mount) -The 4G63 tranny mount metal bracket in combination with the hyundai rubber mount -Upgraded fuel pump -Patience and love for your little Hyundai! I'll post up a video/tutorial up soon! For any questions my email is: epinero12@aol.com Here are some pics of me 94 Excel. Got it with a destroyed head, rebuilt engine and runs like new. Currently building up a 6-bolt 4G63 swap. I'll upload more pics as I go... Body kit was custom made for anyone that wanted to know. (Sux cuz they don't make kits for this car) 4G63 doner car pix: Need to use the harness and ecu from the dsm: 4G63 block (this was actually a non-turbo block): Some random pix of me removing the 1.5L: Need to grab the crossmember and mounts off the 92-95 Elantra: |

When I removed the crossmember from the elantra at the juckyard, it was pretty disgusting. Had surface rust everywhere along with grease/dirt and the works so I had it sandblasted. Looks new! : Also the front and rear engine mounts were pretty soft, so I filled em with urethane adhesive. They don't make aftermarket mounts so I really had no choice... There nice and firm now!! |

So the shifter set up was a little tricky but I figured it out. I'd expect some people to do this step differently but this way worked for me, and this way I can install a short shifter in the future by keeping the main components of the DSM shifter using the Huyndai shifter bracket. I'll post a video up with further explaination. Shifter Cable Length Comparison: Hyundai Bracket: DSM Bracket (sorry for the typo): Here's the video, hope it gives you guys a better idea: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dangPDBni5w |

Me and Turbo Tom were very happy, she started right up even with the crappy hyundai fuel pump. Installing the walbro 255lb gave it new life and swapped over like cake (hyundai one is made by walbro too ). |

Can you post a pic of how you have the rear part of the cross member mounted. That was the most annoying part of my scoupe swap(coupe version of the excel), that I never really got right. also what part of the body you removed for the right side of the engine to fit. |

He and I, used the elantra cross member with the rear mount still installed to sit perfect. "Right side" meaning looking at the car, we had to C-notch some sheet metal from the car to fit the pulleys. |

This is what we had removed from the right side: As for the crossmember, this should be able to help you out: |
