Well guys, I don't have a build thread on here yet, and I guess I'm starting to actually mod my car so I'll need a place to keep track of my progress. Plus, I'm really bored at work lol.

I bought a yellow 1991 Dodge Colt in Dec of 2010, just because I sold my S10 and needed another car. A friend told me about it and said I'd probably like it, so I checked it out and IMMEDIATELY fell in love. Bought it that day after making sure it ran.

Being my first 5-speed, it was a fun learning process, and I'm proud to say I didn't kill it once for the first month, but my launches and shifting were a little weird.

This is Tina, as she would become known, when I first got her.

She was beautiful. PO had her sitting on 17" Giovanni G-Racing rims on the stock height. I've since had 1G FWD Eibach lowering spring installed, but kept stock struts... Cause I was a poor idiot. lol

Last June, I blew a HG and decided to replace the 4G15 with a brand new one... for $1700... Because I'm an idiot lol. But the new engine is amazing, been a great learning experience. I've also managed to crack/completely ruin the Giovannis on a back road going 70 in a pothole minefield. I'm in the "Learning Lessons" phase of life.

I'm in progress of installed/buying twin pot GVR4 brakes and Koni Yellows. As well as reversing all the cancer on the car..

Here she sitting as of a week before I ruined the rims

Plans are to replace the puny 4G15 with a semi-built 4G63T, searching for a donor car now and eventually turning Tina into an AutoX car.

I'll update as more comes along.

I have to admit that I have a soft spot for the Dandelion colored ones...

I think that car looks great lowered! I put some Sportlines on mine and loved the stance as well...... but hated the ride (they came right back off). I think the yellow Colts are awesome, it's my second favorite color in these cars, just behind white.

It would have been pretty neat is Mitsu/Dodge made some yellow 4g61t cars!

Mine is not a factory color, that I know. As to whether or not it ever came in yellow? I have no clue.
My car is PPG Dark Lemon Yellow, painted around 3 years ago by the PO.

Was the PO a forum member?

A very small amount of them came in a "Dandelion Yellow", best way to know is to look into the bottom of your engine bay and see if its yellow or not. I'm doubting the previous owner repainted all the lower firewall. Or you could just pull out some interior panels and look there. In the picture with your hood popped the crore support looks more like the Dandelion color to me. I'd say that if it was a true Dandelion one (before the repaint), that makes about 4 or 5 of them that I've ever heard of :)

Not that I'm aware of. I bought it in Louisville, and I've seen no one else on here any closer than Cincinnati.

My door jambs, engine bay, interior, etc are all a extremely light yellow, so I guess I was a Dandelion original. And thats cool as shit lol. That means my car came as a rare-ish stock yellow, and is titled as a 1991, but was made in Japan in 1990. So, one of the last few to be made in Japan. 8)

I bet a og forum member owned it at one time. Probably 10ish years ago lousiville had roughly 15-20 T.urbo colts . Being that one has some original Turbo stuff. It wouldnt surprise me.

I am, but they're are a bunch of retards on there for the most part. I'm still learning about cars for the most part, so I ask questions. And there, they pretty much just tell you to screw off. Aggravating..
