Hey guys, I have a 2003 Proton JUmbuck (Arena) GLSi Ute, and I am about to embark on an epic journey. That of changing the donk. Now, just wondering, will the 4G15P (Basically 4G15) ECU and loom, hook into the new 4G63 N/A Donk? Or will I need to get an actual 4G63 Loom/ECU for the engine? Keeping in mind that the ECU will only be for a few days until I can get a replacement, however, I need the ute for work, and wil the blown donk in it at the moment, I don't want to wait around longer that needed for the parts that I have to swap. Oh yeah, being a true Aussie I have B'n'S-ed the Jumbuck (Now known as the Rumbuck) -Rumbuck |

never seen the swap in that..but the majority of the time you will need the 4g63 harness and ecu to match up with the motor/donk Steve |

Unless you have the ECU designed for the 2.0L 4g63 motor, you cannot tune for the injectors, MAF and so forth properly with only the parts you have mentioned. Consider using the 4g63 ECU and harness, to make things work. The only issue I can see will be things like wire hookups to the dash and so forth so you get all the right lights coming on : low oil pressure, OBDII CEL, etc. |
