Had a problem with the where the compressor housing was pointed=my motor mount: so solved that by redrilling the solonoid position on the housing so it could be clocked, plus cutting 1/2" each off housing and elbow: |

FP recommended oiling come off filter housing instead of the cyl head so we did this: Is this where its usually fed from? |

Shouldn't your elbow face the drivers side? |

Is that a ball bearing or journal bearing turbo? If it is a journal bearing you will most definitely need a restrictor in the oil feed line if the CHRA doesn't have one in the oil inlet. |

It is a journal bearing , but isn't the reason the oil line is run off the FH because there is too much pressure in the head?

My intercooler is same side inlet/outlet.

There is much more pressure off the FH than off the head. Even feeding off the head you should still use a restrictor will a journal bearing turbo. Just look in the inlet, I bet it already is restricted like a 16g. |

Ball bearing turbos need an oil restrictor. Journal bearing turbos usually don't. And as already stated, the oil filter housing has higher oil pressure than the head. Is that Green going on a 1.6 or 2.0? BTW, if you have issues with the gasket that goes between the exhaust manifold and the turbine housing (like I did), you can just not use one (like I did). Just use copper or nickel antiseize on the bolt threads and torque them to the high end of the spec. |

Fp says to feed from the oil filter housing, on certain turbos. |

A journal bearing turbo will push oil past the seals if the oil pressure is too high.
