so since the weather was nice today and will be for the next week or so I decided to take some pics that I will post in the coming weeks as I get the engine put together and tear the car apart..

start of the story.. Samuel is over seas in the military right now and I am building this 89 colt gt 1.6t while he is away.. He has been into dsm's since I met him back in 05.. most recently he had a white galant vr4 which he traded to moidsm1 for this colt. so I assume the vin has been added already. Car runs but has a starter issue and is all stock. plans are a built 2.0 with evo 8 pistons, 272 cams, fresh rebuilt head, 1000cc injectors, -10 feed w/ -8 return fuel lines, dnp tubular manny, large turbo (cant remember the size) with tial 44mm WG, HUGE frontmount, honda half size radiator, act clutch, gonna stay FWD with slicks, possibly going auto later in the year.

He is supose to be back around june for a few weeks so I am trying to have it running by then. I will take pics of the car in the next few days and next week post up everything I have so far.

here is a teaser for starters lol. I will update this often as I progress with it. the 2G rad is just for the fans...but we might use it if the half size one wont keep it cool here in Az.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYAAAA Ive been waiting for this thread! Pics of the car or it doesnt Exist!

Also I never added this colt to the registry. Take a pic of the firewall plate and Door plate and send it to flying eagle.

oh you know it exists and you know red is sexier and faster than white, looking at the pic it looks like not so many parts, maybe cause there spred out, but that intercooler is huge steve, your right on it not being a evo 8 one, no way

yeah I will take pics of the engine parts once I get them back.. combined it is alot of parts... trying to find some paint for it today lol.. thinking yellow and lime green then use a stick and throw splatter lines of black all over it lol..not sure what im gonna do to it yet. :drinkers:

so paint and engine will be in next week.. so hopefully I can get it painted and post pics by first of april.. for now here are some pics of the car I took today before I start tearing it apart..

small update 4-5-11.. got engine parts back from shop today.. now to paint them..then start assymbly. I will post more up as I get stuff painted and put together.

complete clean and valve job..all new seals and guides

the evo 8 pistons on 1g rods.. rods were machined and big ends resized and honed

u will have to wait till next weeks update.. all I can say right now is.. he told me he wants it to be.......when he pops the hood the first thing he wants people to say are.. OMG!! :huh: :eew: :wtf: :plzdie: then they say [-X :loco: :yernuts: :pimp: :cheer: :hail: =P~

at least thats the plan lol.
