The bosses for the oil squirters are already drilled and tapped. Currently the car has plugs with crush washers in said bosses. As far as I know it came from the factory this way. I know John and Aaron did not have any bottom end engine work done and I do not think Rob had anything done to it. The hardest part of putting the squirters in will be dropping the oil pan.

Thanks man. Everything that has been done so far has cost me nothing. It is basically the set-up I had on the Galant that I will not be using on that car anymore.

HAHA you can ride in it again when I get it tuned better.

If the 1.6 dies anytime soon I will be putting my built 2.0 from the Galant in it. Eagle H Beam and Wiseco 1400HD, BC280, JMFab SMIM, 25g MHI turbo and so forth. Would make that poor Scummit scream.

Toss it in. More work to do a headgasket on the 61.

Oh but I can and will. 600whp GVR4 and 300hp AWD swapped Scummit. Not difficult by any means.

The blocked oil squirters must be a 4g61 only thing, I've honestly never heard that before. I know every non turbo 4g63 I have ever seen was not drilled/tapped for oil squirters. There were dimples there but thats it. Keep us updated on that.

Yesterday I received the wheel spacers I need to put some Mazda RX7 FC 4 piston fixed aluminum calipers on the Scummit. Since I will be AWD swapping it in the future I am also putting on GVR4 spindles and CV shafts. The ROTA Slipstreams did not clear the outer "pots" of the calipers and at least a 20mm was needed to push the wheels out far enough to clear the calipers. I bought 25.4mm(1in) bolt-on spacers off eBay for $75 with free shipping. They are hub-centric and very nice pieces.

The rotors I am using were given to me by my friend Tim(trooper) and were originally multi-lug 5 lug rotors. In order to make them 4 lug I needed to drill one hole and widen two others. Once this was done I was able to test fit the calipers on the spindles.

Using an angle grinder with a thick grind wheel I made the mounting surfaces of the caliper flush with the spindle and "pushed" the flat mounting surface of the spindle back. Then I cut half of the top mounting ear off.

To make the adapter plates I started out with thin cardboard that I gradually cut and shaped until it fit then traced the shape onto the 3/8" steel I am using. An hour of grinding and cutting later and the piece fits as it should.

It was late when I finished cutting this piece so drilling the holes for the bolts will come later. Here is a picture of the slot I cut into the bumper for the 3" muffler-back exhaust I hung.

I did not think it would have blocked off bosses either. My experience has been the same as yours: turbo block = oil squirters; nonturbo block = absolutely no oil squirters ever. The oil will be changed this weekend. I will take pics of the blocked off bosses and pics of the squirters once installed.
