The car did not make it to the shootout, because we simply ran out of time with the vehicle.
Here are some shots of it , excuse the multi colored set up
Image
it is border line dangerous to drive at this point, as the alignment is waaaaay off, something that we will need to address shortly

some completed engine bay shots,

The glory hole

Kevin and I scored some cool stuff at the junk yard, and basically completed the interior in the car

the rear seat uprights will require some massaging but that will happen later

Here is a shot of the gauges we are running

and finally the ride height which is way too low..

more to come as always

That's quite a multicultural gauge selection you've got there.

Threw some 10" eibach springs on the rear and now the ride height is acceptable. bump steer is complete junk on the car, It has also been aligned for its current ride height. We hope to have the car at the track within two weeks.

Looking good! Too bad it couldn't make it too shootout but it was nice meeting all of you guys. I'm liking the gauge set up been waiting to do something like that for a while. Good luck and take videos when you get it going!

it was good to meet you as well aaron, we had a great time at the shootout, for once it was a relaxing affair; normally we are running around with our heads cut off inorder to make the cars go down the track. :)

The car runs on a stock flashable 2g ecu, so we are adjusting the injector scaling and latency values, as well as setting the load columns and fueling tables as well. I will definitely try and get some videos :)

The car is finally registered, for an awesome 20 dollars a year .:) For the most part , I have been trying to work on the driveability tune of the car, it seems to have an weird Throttle hang condition, at a specfic temperature.
here is a pic of our connector installed for easy access.

a quick picture of the dump tube out the hood and a shot of the turbo assembly with radiator clearance. Temps were right around 190 degrees.

I also figured that I would do a little painting, The color doesn't quite match, but I think I will do the entire car in this color

nothing like painting in the grass

and on the car

more to come later.

I love that eclipse, it's a inspirational to me to get my 92 talon to the level your beast is, pure sex. But anyways, the summit is looking really great and looking like it was like that from the factory, lol. Great work, keep it up!!!!

^ thanks I appreciate it.

Did some tuning over the weekend, on gate pressure 21 psi, Virtual dyno numbers are coming back as 400 Hp 400Tq, assuming 2400 pounds of weight. I think this number is a little exagerated, but let me just say, that it definitely moves out.

On the launch control at 5000 rpm, I am seeing 12 psi of boost, which just shreds the tires in 1st and 2nd.

I also added a magneflow Bullet muffler in the middle of the car , finishing it off with a glass pack from Summit racing. Pics of that coming soon.

Weighed the car yesterday at the salvage yard, it came to 2620 with me in it ( 170) and 5 gallons of gas,

So this pig is 2450 with out me and street trimed. suprisingly heavy..

Have not updated this is in a while. But loads of progress with the car. We have added
Windshield wiper motor circuit
Heater control circuit
Fixed the tach
added a true boost AEm Controller
Replaced the brake booster so we have power assisted brakes now
Replaced one of the dying 255 pumps

We made the switch to ethanol, maxing the turbo out ( somewhere over 30 psi, settling to 27 psi) here is Virtual dyno pull
Image

The pull was done in 4th gear, because the car is utterly useless in third gear, so tuning it is combersome to say the least.

There is still work to do in the spool up area, as you can see in the trace it is very rich.I will say that this car is borderline dangerous on the street with the bump steer and that has to be addressed soon.

Currently on the hunt for a set of light weight wheels vs the laser meshies

Its doing ok aaron, Trying to set up this car to run against my evo..

so here is the race scenario:

My evo makes roughly 730 HP weighs roughly 2900 with me in it , will be running with 255 35 18 rubber ( 10.80 car)

My summit makes rougly 490 HP weighs roughly 2620 with me in it, will be running QTP 26 by 9.5 slicks ( no et yet)

who do you think will win
