The wheels are fb rx7 wheels, they are very light for sure. They take a little work to make them fit ( wrong center bore and will need a spacer in the rear) , however I think they are completely worth it Weight is around 12 ibs and not to mention are BBS you are up in the top for sure, i csn only think of 3 guys faster awd are those mazda stock rims? i had those same ones on my awd colt back in the day, about 14 lbs (nice an light) cant remember the car they came from but it was a rwd v6 luxury car Quote: Damn well done congrats.

We lost some updates due to hacking, so in response to your questions and my comments, I got you some pictures of the roof sections. May be easier than I anticipated, which is good for you. Most of the struct is in the roof surround below the skin! I'm sure the cross bars help quite a bit with twist on the diagonal, so any way you can incorporate a form of rigid support in lieu of the metal ones having been removed, the better it is for your car. Heck, you don't want the skin flapping in the wind right? It is a good thing the dome light plugs into the headliner, but double check it doesn't need some form of support/nuts welded into a bar type of deal, should it ever be re-installed. Click Me |

I'm sure I have the complete body manual, but for the life of me, can't find it! Not the body section in the back of manual #1, but the full small manual showing all the panel construction, layouts, weld points, dimensions, etc. Argh, so frust when you can't find something you haven't looked at in multiple years. Time to check book boxes that are packed away. |

Awesome thank you very much.. Currently the roof has been bondoed and cleaned up . so that we can begin the mold fabrication. The carbon that is being used is 3K, where I anticipate using 3 layers, in different directions i.e parallel, turn 90 degrees with consideration for a Kevlar reinforcement section. There will definitely be ribs or cross bracing, integrated into the roof. P.S current spread sheet estimate of the roof with 3 layers, and uniform resin = 6.3 pounds. We are excited about this. more to come soon |

Been a while since I have been here. Our team finished up the carbon fiber roof, we also made carbon fiber side window panels and the small panels that go behind the rear quarter glass. I will upload pictures shortly. |
