blind rivits work great like cherrymax can get at theyard.com or any other aviation supply company for cheap and they use a regular rivit puller

Finished up the fuel cell enclosure,

Also both front knuckles have been pulled out, so that we can replace the front wheel bearings The next big fabrication thing that will be tackled, is the tunnel. I hope to work on that this weekend.

More fuel work

here is a shot of the supply and return lines which I bent up in hard line, they are run along the frame rail
Image

next the vent and return line, junction into bulkhead fittings and back again into the fuel cell. The fitting that goes into the fuel cell are a couple of tricky ones . They are -8 AN O-ring Boss fitting on one side, to a 90 degree -6 AN swivel male fitting ( what a mouthful )

why did he make those strut extensions on the control arms for?

With my AWD, I just added 2'' to the bottom of the strut and it sat fine, with him lowering the strut towers, and raising that up, Id think it would be to much.. hows it sit with tires on it?

it sits pretty well, with the car in the air, there is massive amounts of travel (Drupe distance)

How much up travel does it leave? Just curious as I used to get 3ish inches of up travel on a 1.6 60' I was using GC coilovers

I am not sure how much up travel it has, because the car has not been on the ground for a while. It is using dsm kybs and ground controls as well .

I wish I could be making this kind of progress. Still need that front bumper/lip?

Ben I still need that bumper and lip, we will plan to come and grab it one of these days.

Our weekends have been swapped with work, so that leaves me with very limited time to work on the colt. Non the less here is some progress.
I purchased a td05 rebuild kit and decided to rebuild the turbo that I was going to use. I am glad I did this, because there was sludge all over the cateridge and heat sheild.
I also had to drill out a broken stud in the turbine housing, which only took, oh maybe 5 hours :(

here is another shot
Image.
So to summarize the turbo set up. It is a tdo6 16g. The benefit of it is a compressor cover that allows me to downward face the Charge pipe. Which helps significantly in a space constrained colt engine bay/

I also installed a stock intake manifold that I had laying around. Next up will be mounting the ETS race front mount .

Turbo looks like a GReddy 18g without the GReddy badge to me.
