So i got my hands on another csm it's a 89' mirage turbo car ....So im pretty excited since this will be my first race and weekend car...I have now owned 3 csm's and the others i had to try and daily and race it... So i will post up pics when i start getting some stuff done soon as the weather lets up...

Overview of what i will be doing..

Compression check
replace clogged cat or delete it
Switch over fmic and piping from the galant also the c.o.p. setup
put link v3 in from the galant and wideband and 950cc injectors
Put in my ss clutch line and adjust the clutch along with getting my hands on the right shifter arm for the tranny
run the e316g that is on it
tune it
find some used drag radials
Hit the track and have fun and not worry if it will break!!!!


Goal with this car is to have fun with it and be a consistant mid 11's car on the 16g...

Looks good, can't wait for some videos! Should be a really fun car and reliable, I know I beat on my car with a 16g on it and had very little problems.

So i haven't really got to work on it did a few things over the week found out had low compression in number 3 so i will have to find out why might just through a 2l together instead... I would like to keep 1.6l though...Lots of tare down and cleaning to go...

Going to do some sort of shield for the heat thrown off the dump right next to the alternator?

I have a different o2 housing going on it that has dump pointed under the car.....


I have the motor torn apart found out all but one piston had a cracked ring land even the ones with good compression...

So i found a good set of pistons thanks JROD and got the block honed and new piston rings witch took some doing but im very pleased with them and got new bearings.....So now im waiting on my gasket set to come in then i will put the bottom end back together and reseal the motor...I will be putting in new valve stem seals while im at it should have the motor back together next week end....
