I see. Any kind of swap into a chassis this different from the donor car would require cutting and welding. But you know this.

If you are gonna swap it put a fuel injected 318 into it. Then add a turbo. HAHA

I was asking about how he thought you could AWD swap one of these chassis... maybe he didn't realize it wasn't transverse engine :)

The ones I've seen in progress are not a TT swap, but I agree, its go to be an overkill for the car. Just neat to see something different.
i would do what they are doing with some muscle cars of cours there is no guarantee you wouldn't have to cut and dice. but the conversions being done like a 68 charger on a 2010 chrysler 300. drop the body over an awd chassis. west coast customs did it to a charger for the guy from csi. and also a 70 gto over a 2008 gto. i've thought about my 77 colt on top of a newer awd colt or evo.

That is cool and all but ranks on the level of a Fiero with a "Ferrari" body kit in my opinion. If you have a '78 Plymouth Arrow then rock the Arrow and shoe-horn a nasty build into it.

Sure it will fit. It's been done, but I just don't understand the fascination with that swap. Every time I drive my 72 Colt to a show someone tries to get me to do that.

I'd stick to something simple on the arrow, a Mitsubishi variant of some sort, probably be a blast to drive with just a little bump in displacement and slight tweaks.

Btw sorry to to OP for whoring his thread! :)

My thread has grown! I havent done anything but gathered parts for this car. Im currently looking for an LSD rear end. Research tells me that I can swap in a Starquest Pumpkin into my housing. Ive also been looking into using a totally different rear, like from a 98 explorer. So for now the parts keep piling up while I finish my other projects.

Look for a Ford Turbo Coupe rear end. IRS, LSD and uses the same differential, ring and pinion as the solid-axle Ford 8.8".
