I always used high tack spray or Indian head is much better than RTV. Some times if you get RTV you might clog your coolant system, I've seen that happen before,lol.

ok so should i use the gasket that came with the pump. and use a very small amount of rtv. usually i never use it

Use both. Put a small layer of RTV on the gasket. It is not a good idea to attempt to bolt an aluminum water pump to a cast iron block without a paper gasket between the two.

i put my timing bely back on. and as i hand crank the engine the belt is trying to work its self off the idlers and cam gears

i think i may have found a 93 auto tsi for a swap, its a complete running car, i hate to swap a 7bolt but its a auto so it shouldnt bad

so i doesnt want to start now... im saying f it this engine has had issues from day 1, i found a 4g64sohc that im swap my good dohc head on it and calling it good for now.

You might have a bad ECU problem because I have seen this before. If you can swap it out, that might be your issue because if you really think about it what will cause the injectors to stay open longer to flood it? ECU gives that sign when to fire by using CAS to know what cylinder it's at. In my opinion it would start there :wink:

At yeah if you get a 93 tsi the 1g 7 bolt blocks are not as bad as the 2gs, if your getting a good deal for the car I would say go for it, :yawinkle:

I found a expo in the local junk yard today. It still had the wheels on it so a picked those up. There 14 inch 5 spoke wheels.
