Back to some serious Business, I did some upgrading today. I installed a ported 2G exhaust manifold, Heavily ported 14B Hotside, heavily ported 02 housing with a Dump tube welded onto it. I gotta say these upgrades definitely have the 14B spooling a little faster. The only thing I need to re-do is the manifold to turbo gasket. I will swap it out for a 7CM gasket as soon as it comes in. The only issue I ran into with the install is that the 14B hotside I used had the wastegate flapper arm fully closed about 1/4 in closer to the vaccume solenoid. with the first install the flapper would never close. I kinda knew what was wrong as soon as I started the car since there was loud exhaust coming out of the dump tube at idle. It also would not boost! So to remedy I spaced the solenoid away with some washers and a nut. I measured as to try and get it fully closed normally. That did the trick! Also I did the Skateboard bearing Mod on my shifter cables. End of Update. |

Quote: Back to some serious Business,
I had the same problem with my 14b on my excel for some reason and what I did was thread the waste gate rod on both sides. I also then had a sleeve thread with the same threads and 2 lock nuts. Needless to say it worked pissa, and never had that problem again AND! I could boost a lot more with out a boost controller

Small Update, I installed a 93 Scoupe steering wheel. My original Eaxel steering wheel was Light tan abut around 3 shades of brown due to Sunfading and normal wear. The swap was pretty straightforward and almost bolt on. I only had to trim a little plastic off the rear of the wheel to clear the Colum cover plastic. I think it looks "ok" but defineteley feels better. It has grips kinda like a racing steering wheel. I dont have any pics but Ive atttached two images of what the original looked like and what the new looks like. Excel Sport style 93 Scoupe Wheel |

These pics are for reference. I meant that I do not have any pics of the wheel installed into the car. My whole interior is tan. My new steering wheel is almost black. I think it looks good. |

Official weight 1/2 tank of gas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2385 I went to have my car weighed today and the result is 2680 Subtract 80lbs for dual 12"subs subtract 170lbs for myself Subtract 45lbs for the gas and I end up with This is for a sunroof car with no power steering, some ac lines still intact, manual windows/mirrors/door locks and no lightening whatsoever |

Gas weighs ~8.8 lbs. per gallon. so tack on another 45 lbs. That's a nice low number to start off with |
