My friend sold his 4ws 89 Prelude 2.0Si last week because he found this 90 GSX in Alabama, that has an incredibly clean shell, and supposedly had one owner and was never modded. His original plan was to build the Honda, but after a ride in my 4G63T Colt, he came to his senses.
He drove the car up from Alabama last night, and dropped it off at my shop today. He says he want's a reliable, streetable 500-700 Hp, without sacrificing any comforts, of a DD.
Here's a couple before photos that I took in the pitch dark with a flash:
^^^ 90 Eclipses don't have that part here in NY^^^
So far the No-mods I've found on the car are:
-Aftermarket sway bars front and rear(two bars in the front)
-HKS high flow airbox
-full 2.5" Mandrel bent exhaust
-TD05H on compressor housing
-larger UICP and 2g TB elbow
-ceramic coated manifold
-right fog lamp delete
The first thing I did when he pulled up was tighten the clamp on the coupler to the TB elbow; it's a miracle t didn't blow off! We then went for a ride, and he was shocked by how much better it ran, but it still has no balls. Boost only hit's around 10 psi, but it seems it should do much better in the butt dyno department.
Ps. He said he paid $2500 for it.
